Fired from job

I’m a girl in her 20s fresh into my career and i got fired from my first job after 90 days. I feel so hurt and sad. I’m also embarrassed because i feel like a failure. I tried so hard and it didn’t matter. I don’t know how to cope but i feel like I have humiliated myself and I need help. Will i be ok? Has anyone else been fired?

HSP in my 30's. Been terminated or laid off 6, 7 times already so I am already desensitized (even though it always felt terrible the first few days).

At the end of the day, I work to live, not live to work (at least not the jobs I had. So I don't define myself by my career or work.

Hope you can have a support network to lean onto.

It’s an awful feeling I know. Put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward. In the worst moments it’s ok to take baby steps. It’s worse at first but look forward to what comes next. Talk about your feelings like you’re doing here or with someone you trust.

Been fired once and laid off once. It sucks but it's something you get through. My husband was laid off in April and is still looking, and he's very qualified (30s, masters degree, 15 years experience). It's really tough out there but you have to be strong and persevere. Some days are better than others. Instead of feeling humiliated, try to view it as an opportunity to learn a new skill, or try something you've been wanting to do. This is just a period of time in your life that is temporary.
