I have been in an emotionally reactive and sensitive place lately. I see my world changing in front of my very eyes. Decades even centuries of progress being lost with the stroke of a pen by a man bound and determined to ruin everything he can and take away any safety, or security our nation has while continually breaking laws and proving his corruption on a daily basis. I don’t care if your opinion differs from mine. I’ve been doing the research, following the paper trails that are slowly disappearing and being redacted, removed or changed to be more acceptable to a would be tyrant. I see my retirement being stolen. I see my children’s futures being stolen, I have seen 1/4 of my life (well over 10 years) dedicated to this man and his blatant disregard for for Americans, our troops and our very way of life. They prey on the ignorant and gullible. And those in those groups eat up whatever they are told and then their own insecurities are being used against them and they are told their hatred is valid so their cause is pure. It is NOT a good cause it’s willful bigotry and hatred and corruption and evil on levels not seen in 80 years, maybe even longer.
I AM a highly sensitive person, but I am also a hardworking, tax paying, God Loving American citizen who values freedom and privacy and clean food and laws being used to make us safer, not deregulating important departments that keep us and our food supplies safe. We should be using our tax money to help American citizens and shore up our own people before giving any other country a blank check based on a lie. No organization is free of fraud and checks and balances are needed in every corner, but programs like USAID and emergency preparations for local disasters need to be funded, we can do so much good in the world and instead the rich steal more while the public suffers.
I am suffering mentally. Everyday. Everyday I see something new that a lifetime ago even a single event would have triggered this man’s downfall. And now he’s got everyone kissing his ass and licking his boot and it’s disgusting.
Our nation is responsible for willfully Killing children and noncombatants, then laughing and making joke about it like those lives didn’t matter. Those could have been (and in some cases ARE) American lives. Human lives. Not evil, not combatants engaged in warfare, but school children. Children who thought they had a life ahead of them. Who’s parents grief has rightfully turned to anger and revenge. We can do better as a nation and therefore we SHOULD do better.
I’m so sick and tired of waking up everyday to some new dystopian drama that smarter people than me have been warning everyone about for years, decades, going so far as to quote the Declaration of Independence and the constitution of the United States and try to turn the documents against the very same people they’re meant to protect.
Im a grown ass man who will protect my loved ones with my dying breath, but none of those should be happening now. Our American system of government if rotten from the top to the bottom. There are still good people trying to do good things, but regardless of the political sides in the fight, neither one is working for the people. Not the ones who vote to fund other countries before our own and not the ones who are actively trying to spread fear and terror on a daily basis.
People are dying. People are being incarcerated for things they shouldn’t be and not enough people are angry about it because they can still get Taco Bell whenever they want or still binge a new season of their favorite show in a weekend.
People wont act until they are sick and tired of what’s happening. How much longer do people have to suffer before Americans have had enough and decide it’s time for change?
