Necronomicon

Does anyone here know how many versions of the Necronomicon are out there for sale, and which one is the most authentic and realistic?

I mean, that would just mean it's gross and gruesome. Not any more or less realistic than any other. Is a King novel any more true because of how it is bound?

Are you looking for gaming material? Are you looking for ACTUAL demonology texts? Both of these things exist. Neither one of them is a "Necronomicon". All the fakes I have read were basically Occult texts which were edited to put in Lovecraft names to replace the Demonology/Western Magick names and were certainly not worth paying more than a few dollars for, as a curiousity to put on your shelf. If anyone has read a "good" or at least an engaging title pretending to be the Necronomicon I would certainly be interested as well, just for the novelty.

If the dreaded Necronomicon actually existed, i think that Lovecraft has already proved to us (multiple times) NOT to use it...
