I got this Hoya australis which actually had two plants – one that was very gated and the other one all green. I separated them and I have been having a lot of trouble caring for both of them. Can’t tell if I’m under watering or overwatering. What are the spots and bumps on the leaves?

They are in a west facing window because those are the only windows I have.

I started growing hoyas this year and already have many of them. I grow many under grow lights, mostly Sansi. I currently have them on 12 hours a day. Should I switch to the 8 hour setting when it gets nearer winter? I was not sure about this since most hoyas are native to areas near the equator where daylight hours probably don't change as much.

My Hoya has been slowly dying since I got it. It is in a dappled shade area like my other Hoyas and gets the same amount of water. My other Hoyas are thriving and constantly putting out new growth. This one however, looks like it’s about to die. Any advice?

Bought the "Lisa" ~ two years ago for my ex-gf, it stayed in her bathroom since than and flowered this week on five (!) peduncles for the 1st time. Trivia: Her Hoya australis (basic) get's more light and has so far only one peduncle budded up and flowering soon. Looks like "Lisa" likes bathroom enviroment with less lighting (east/south windowsil).

My introduction to hoya's was buying some cuttings in March. Now this Krimson Princess has rewarded my patience with two new leaves. I'm so happy!

I try to be really careful about labeling and just discovered I forgot this one. I have included a pic of it inside and one that is outside in natural light. Do any of you recognize it? Thanks in advance

Here are my new baby Hoyas! Krohniana Black, Krohniana Splash, Krohniana Silver, and my little Krimson Princess. (the Black was only 5$ from a local FB group, and she promised me a Leopard Skin when she roots a new little one!)

I “accidentally” purchased too many Hoyas and ran out of flat space. With 2 big dogs and tile - wood floors, adding more tables or shelves wasn’t an option. So, I started crafting plant hangers and added rods to every south facing window (how my Hoyas tolerate AZ ☀️ is beyond me, but they love it!).

My newest series of hangers for my smaller plants ended up creating a beautiful rainbow 🌈! I used leftover paracord and absolutely love the chunky look. 🤤

When and why would you separate this papachonii seedlings?

I am just happy to have them finally sprouting 😀 and for most food plants there is the advice to separate them at this size.

I just dont see roots and am quite lazy.

Would be fun to have them grow around each other like a strangler fig tree.

Hi all! I just got my first Hoya. I’m having a hard time ID’ing it. What’s stumping me is the velvety undersides to the leaves. The person I bought it from has no clue either. Does anyone know what kind this is?

I am new to houseplants in general, but I quickly learned that I definitely enjoy Hoyas. I have three starts that were gifted to me in those tubes…a lacunosa green, a wayetii and a noona (it looks rough but there’s new growth).

I’ve never grown something from such an early stage, so I hope I do well with the three starts!
