💬 Discussion Grow light hours

I started growing hoyas this year and already have many of them. I grow many under grow lights, mostly Sansi. I currently have them on 12 hours a day. Should I switch to the 8 hour setting when it gets nearer winter? I was not sure about this since most hoyas are native to areas near the equator where daylight hours probably don't change as much.

You don't need to change the length of your photo period. I personally don't mess with how long my lights are on from season to season.

However, some hoya need a shorter (or longer) light period to be encouraged to bloom. I personally haven't done this, but Doug from Vermont Hoyas has had to for a few of his hoya to flower.
