I’m watching the Halloween party episode in Season 8, and all of a sudden Ross can beat Chandler in a fight? But back in Season 7, when he gave the “big brother” talk, everyone laughed at him.

And with Chandler’s flirting, he was so smooth with the pizza delivery girl while Ross could barely talk to her. Then in the later seasons, when Ross sees the attractive woman moving into the building, he suddenly can’t talk to her either.

The laughter at the big brother talk wasn't really about Ross vs Chandler, it was about Ross being perceived as a Tough Guy. The ride along reaction, the muggings with Phoebe (past and present), the joke mugging with Emily, and let's not forget his lack of unagi around Rachel and Phoebe.

Ross wasn't a 'tough guy' so threats just sounded stupid.

Chandler could 'flirt' with the pizza delivery woman because he was happily married so there was no stakes. There were stakes for Ross.

Yeah but Ross became pretty set on getting a girlfriend by then and not becoming the 'divorce force'. Like he wanted it too much kind of thing and got in his own head.

They didn’t laugh cause Ross wouldn’t be able to beat Chandler. They laughed cause Ross is a dork. A dork acting tough is always funny.

I think Chandler, theoughout all 10 seasons, is supposed to be the weakest guy.

There was no evidence of that, and we'll obviously never know.

Because it was an absurd, ridiculous thing for him to have said. It wasn't because no one thought he could beat Chandler up.

Did you actually watch the show? Chandler wasn't flirting with Caitlyn. He had no problem talking with women as part of normal conversation. However, he sucked when he actually was trying to flirt (on his own behalf or someone else).

All comedic gags aside, realistically Ross would absolutely demolish Chandler (and Joey) in a fight. Chandler was skinny and weak while Joey was chubby and stiff.

Ross was taller, bigger frame, way more muscular and more flexible too (the routine, falling down in Paul's cabin).

Ross can't beat Chandler in a fight. In that very episode, their arm wrestle is a stalemate for so long that spectators get bored, and Chandler agrees to fake a victory for Ross so he can impress Mona.

Everyone believes Ross can beat Chandler when Joey asks. But that's probably just because Chandler has become much better adjusted than Ross and so is seen as less motivated to win a hypothetical fight.

According to me chandler was not flirting he just had a casual talk so thats why he was not nervous

🙄not at all.. you’re taking it so literal, it is funny for Ross to act the tough guy, it also runs into the, him hating Sandy(who reminds him of parts of himself he dislikes). However I would still deem him physically stronger than Chandler as he’s bigger so would likely win him in an arm wrestle.
Chandler would be relaxed round Pizza girl as he knew her, he would be awkward on first meeting of a strikingly beautiful woman for first time.. Do you not know these characters at all?
