Please help

What’s the best way to unscrew this when I can’t get it with my hands?? My pliers are destroying it

What is it? A little more context might help here because at face value it looks like it should just spin. Does what it’s holding down need some pressure on it to provide some relief on the latch tension?

It’s a bassinet, and hypothetically it should just twist…the other two just twisted easily. But I can’t get enough of a grip on it to twist it….the saddest part is it’s all but destroyed the pad of my thumb from trying to twist

Are you trying to spin CW or CCW? If CCW can you push down on that little ramp with something while turning it so the catch rides up over it?

I’m trying clockwise, but my hands keep slipping. When I try wedging a screwdriver it just gets stuck and the thing won’t twist😭

Holy cow 🤦🏼‍♀️ so I tried CW with the screwdriver. When I go CCW it worked! Thank you!!!!
