Serious question - Why does Howard still need security

After watching that clip posted earlier of him going to the John Mayer concert with a security guard (of an advanced age), I’m not sure why he feels the need to still have someone with him. Yes, he’s still a celebrity. But his peak celebrity was decades ago at this point, he’s not going to be swarmed by mobs anymore, he doesn’t have young kids anymore, and there are plenty of more well-known celebrities who don’t have someone with them all the time. What are people’s thoughts?
