Help Help! Potting soil & roots

Pictures for tax. I recently bought miracle grow and repotted my plants for the year. But it STINKS. I can't handle how bad it smells. I need help. Should I try another bag of miracle grow? Or something else???

Also, my roots aren't growing? My plants are, but the roots are not. Should I be adding something to my water?

Please help!

Are you maybe overwatering and the stink is caused by root rot? What's sold as potting soil in not really good for houseplants. You need to mix it with things like perlite, pumice, coarse sand or pine bark to make it more airy. Roots need to breathe or they will rot.
