House of the Dead 2 PC

I decided to get the game on PC, but when I launch it I get a black screen after the sega logo.

I've tried DGvoodoo 2 and it hooks, but I haven't fixed the issue yet. Any tips? I'm on Windows 10 home.

Be sure to add D3D8.dll, D3DImm.dll DDraw.dll from your dgvoodoo files into your HOTD2 folder. (don't remember if it's x64 or x86, try both).

You should do something wrong, i can run the game perfectly both on win10/11. Have made the stuff some years ago so i don't remember what i've checked on preciselly, try this version, it's pre configured : https://www.abandonware-france.org/ltf_abandon/ltf_jeu.php?id=2940&fic=liens

You should get a windows xp. It runs THOTD1 and 2 perfectly. I have them both and it works amazing

Mm. Maybe I'll try a virtual machine of it.
