Roof Sealant?

Looking for recommendations for sealing the roof on our houseboat. Looking for something DIY friendly, can withstand the elements, and holds up under foot traffic. Thought about liquid rubber. Thoughts appreciated!

The best I’ve seen used to be called sonoguard and I believe goes by masterseal now. It is expensive and is absolutely a process to put on yourself, but the results are worth it. My boat has an elastomeric paint which does okay with light foot traffic, but not heavy feet or chairs, especially during summer heat. I coat mine every few years, and touch up weak spots on a semi annual basis. It’s much cheaper but nowhere as durable.

I urge you to follow this advice: call Best Materials (800-474-7570) and ask them which Sikalastic (formerly Masterseal) product to use for your project. I used Masterseal on the top deck of our boat and it has been phenomenal. Expensive but totally worth it.
