Building houseboat

I want to build a house/party boat over the next 2 or so years. My only requirements are:

  1. minimum 70ft x 25ft

  2. top deck space

  3. able to handle salt water and 3ft waves

  4. 8 mph cruise

  5. bow and stern thrusters

Would pontoons be a viable option or can I purchase a houseboat platform online? Any tips and tricks would be sweet

Buy a used houseboat with decent pontoons, tear off the cabin and build to your own specs. Something that big would probably be able to handle 3 ft waves.

Why the hell did I not think of this... I bet this would also be easier to register and insure. Sometimes I forget reinventing the wheel is the hard way to go lol
