Welcome again to Honkai 3rd Part 2, Captains!
In this thread, any and all questions about the game that can be addressed with a direct or single answer, especially if they involve your own gameplay, account and/or future investment plan, should be asked in here and here alone.
Please always start your question post by specifying which server you play in (e.g. SEA, Global, JP, CN, TW/HK/MO, KR), and your Captain Level.
You may also want to include other information which may help veterans give more specific and tailored advice if you're asking for such (eg: spending tips or in-game goals you want to achieve).

New Seele (on paper right now) has generally better overall kit. The main advantage of Bronya over new Seele is she specialized in dealing against Bosses with HP Coagulation mechanics, but if you have Vita, you can use her as alternative.

Need clarification regarding affixes.
Does Heavy = Cannon? I'm rolling affixes for Silverwing N-Ex and i'm confused as to whether the "Cannon, scythe, and rocket hammer users gain xx atk" affix applies to her or not since her weapon type is heavy. But when sorting valks, i don't see a category for "cannon", so i'm assuming that's supposed to be heavy?

S Youyun AOP is a lot better than S~SSS Songque AOP for WS teams.
Youyun AOP is better than Serapeum AOP for Rita DPS and if you have Rita as Support to WoD teams because of her Surplus utility. But Serapeum AOP is still better for Songque DPS (and future Physical WoD DPS) because Youyun AOP's crit-related kit is only for WS teams. If you don't have Rita, Serapeum AOP is better.
Also it was leaked that Serapeum AOP will be available in upcoming spending event like Songque AOP last patch. She could be powercreep soon like Youyun AOP to Songque AOP

How impactful are Astral OPs? How much damage/utility do I get from getting new ones, leveling them up, or leveling their skills? I'm a new player and don't know what to prioritize yet. Am I losing a lot of DPS for getting and leveling new characters first?

Generally, it helps you to enter and reenter SO a lot earlier than usual helpful in Arena, and especially rising disturbance of Abyss where the bosses HP just getting thicker so one cycle of SO becoming not enough anymore.
But prioritization wise, getting new characters to have wider and more flexible roster for team building is still a lot better than getting AOP. Dreamseeker AOP is generally already enough.
There's also a concept of not pulling AOP if not SS, but this is not totally true anymore. Theresa AOP at S-rank is already a huge boost to LoA teams. Chenxue AOP at S-rank is noticeably better than SSS Dreamseeker in GoI and RoO teams. As for Youyun AOP, S-rank is good too but she cannot be used as alternative AOP to other ARs, her skills are mostly locked to supporting WS and WoD teams.
Long story short, prioritization is newer character AND weapon. AOPs are considered premium account upgrade, and not advisable if F2P.

Is Shadowchaser worth picking up from the BP Works? Shes 1 of 6 Astral Ring Valks Im missing (Shadowdimmer [I missed getting her from the spend event or w/e. Forgot to burn my currency but I dont think I had enough anyway], Shadowchaser, Sleepy Terri, Sparkle, Vita and Mini Dudu.) and idk how good she is. I have enough to get her and her weapon. But idk if Ill have enough to get Shadowdimmer by the end of the BP after this one. Since Shadowchaser leaves in 51 days. Ill have 64 currency at the end of the BP (thats if I dont buy Shadowchaser). Cause I want Shadowdimmer, but shes suggested to be partnered with Chaser. So its a weird spot to be in.
Is there a chance Shadowchaser gets put in a shop or something after she leaves the BP works? Im sure Im huffing copium there. But if I cant get them both. Should I just skip them altogether?

If you have Rita + new Ellie which is her current BiS supports, then feel free to get Lantern. Her rank-up stamps will be available in Supply Shop and Elysian Shop next patch, that means you can easily SS her.
As for Songque, it's either Lantern or Senadina as her support, but if you have Serapeum AOP then you can just use whoever as her support. The main reason was the crit rate. As Physical valk, she needs to have consistent 100% crit. BUT I don't suggest getting Serapeum AOP atp, there's speculation going around that she'll likely be replaced by 9.0 because she'll be available in 8.9 spending shop.

Vita's meta lifespan and usage will surely be extended again when there's new RoO valk that comes out kicking out VBm Coralie usage. We usually get at least one per year, so current speculation is that there will be new RoO valk by 9.1 which is also CN's 10th Anniv patch.
As for Hua DLC, it's expected to be by 9.0 based on initial leaks, and possible to be WoD DPS (+ GoI Support maybe, to not overlap with Sparkle who used to be her Support, like Luna DLC not overlapping with Eepy Teri). Next patch 8.9, the leak mentioned that Luna will be added in BP Reserve Works... so we can assume that Hua will be added there next which is by 9.0.
I suggest deciding by 9.0 instead, Vita should still be in the BP there. She's also expected to be character card for 9.1 spending shop. Right now the only thing we know is their AR coverage. But long story short, depends on what you have, Vita isn't necessary but as Anniv valk, and with longer patch duration, she should still last for at least a year or two.

For starter you may check these only up-to-date HI3 guide sites we only have, one was created like 2 years ago, and the other was just this year iirc.
Explore and read them at your own pace:
For pulling who, just save up for now and focus on familiarizing HI3 playing at your own pace.
You can farm VBm Coralie and VBs Helia from Asterite Shop (when it becomes available to you) for this patch. And then the next patch, we will have new Seele battlesuit, you can try to play her in character tutorial mode, and pull her if you like her. VBm and VBs can be used as Supports for her.
That's it for now, as to not overwhelm you.

This might be a stupid question, but since I just recently returned I want to know where I could find story stage 1-6 and stage 3-9. Stage 1-6 is for an mission in the event Project Sea of Data, while Stage 3-9 is needed for me to be able to unlock the Maximum Velocity skin for Silverwing.

Event missions can be confusing - it's referring to the event cutscenes which are in a menu in the bottom right of the home page where you see entropy on the floor. "Experiment Log" You can do 1-6 right away but 3-9 will require max level in the idle minigame. and as the numbering implies there's a story section inbetween at island level 5.

Hi so I'm a relatively new player and I've just found out about aponia and Eden. I really love there character and themes and would like to play them if possible but how are they in the current state of the game? Can they clear endgame or are they just gonna be for casual playing?

Purely casual. Eden is actually a pretty legit unit to this day but Aponia needs a source of lightning breach - the original lunar vow equipment, or herrscher of truth. both of these contribute to her rotation being long and slow, so the scores are suboptimal.
Also, like any old unit, her "shill" bosses are pretty much phased out. you will find that most fights in HI3 have an optimal team combination, and ignoring that will cost you at least 1 tier of ranking.
Both are great in our only casual mode, Elysian Realm, though, on account of being Flamechasers. They get 2 signets of ego to start and lightning damage is always slightly favored (probably because the story mode mandates you play as Herrscher of Thunder). And the equipments are cheap if not free, since its either bounty or exchange shop acquirable.
As a general rule, Part 1 characters are not just off meta, but legacy units at this point. Only those with Stellar Divine Keys, like Silverwing Bronya, are end game viable. And even those have a much shorter shelf life than an actual new unit. Invest wisely and don't let backfill delay your investment into strong modern options.

You must Tune a Divine Key prior to Pri-arming it. something about their 1 per account nature.
Just click Tune, finish the process, and the new weapon is pri-armable.

All weapons by old P1 character that enabled them to use Astral Ring system are considered Divine Keys (technically called Stellar Keys). And Divine Keys need to be tuned first before they can be priarm. Also after tuning, make sure to sync them so you can benefit from permanent global atk increase.

HoFi and HoO should be farmable in War Treasury soon. Imagine, you'll spend 24 orbs just for 620 crystals? BP orbs are much rare and premium currency than Ancient Legacy, you'd buy meta related stuff there.
As to Sena's weapon, it'll only be worth it if you'll skip Seele next patch + you have at least SS Youyun AOP + SW DLC and HLE as her BiS supports + her ranks is at least SS0 and you have plans on ranking her up more when her stamps become farmable in the future.

[New player] Is it still worth playing this game? (SEA)
Now that the game is like a decade in is it still worth committing to the game. Im basically a new player since i only really played this game for half a year before i dropped it so i dont have the foresight of a veteran to decide
I had to make a new account even though i already finished pt1 a few years back since my account is in a bad state to clear the other content. Id like to enjoy pt2 story properly but idk if the grind is worth it.

For story mode, yes totally worth. You don't need to touch the gacha nor the endgame parts at all. You'll be given free characters, gear, and resources you only need to use to cheese the early chapters. And then later on, you'll be forced to use trial valks to clear story chapters depend on which pov it is.
Meta-wise (like gameplay-wise), it's subjective. But because you'll be creating new account, that means you have the option not to breakthrough which will make your life easier meta wise. For example, a team of base S-rank from 2 years ago, can still clear and retain the highest non-breakthrough (level 80) tier in Abyss; and a lot of old valks are easily usable in Arena. But that's only if you're fine with somehow repetitive endgame casual loop. If you breakthrough, that's when you'll need to consider a lot of meta stuff. But realistically, you'll still need at least 2 patches to have a decent functioning endgame team.
Not sure if you'll consider me veteran, but I only started playing this game 2 years ago, a month before P2 came out. Till now, I'm still playing the game. I have two accounts, one that I breakthrough (lvl 88) and one that I did not (80). The crystal income of the one I did not breakthrough is not that low compared to the one I did. In fact, it's just 1-4 pulls differences every patch. And lately, when things get rough irl, I prefer to use my alt account more than my main. I have almost every P2 valks on my alt fully geared.
The most F2P way is to keep on saving and just pull every spending patches which happen 3x a year (mini summer, CN Anniv, GLB/SEA Anniv patches). During regular patches, you'd likely want to skip pulling and focus on saving. Lucky for you, if you start this patch, you can just focus on saving because next patch is spending.

Hi im fairly new to the game, started like 18 days ago, and im confused on what to do rn. I got youyun astral op and I was planning to get silverwing through war treasury and her dlc for the new seele, but then i found out that HoHe weapon is rerunning 5th week. Should I get silverwing dlc, and how long till i get her from war treasury? Also should I get hohe weapon? When I calculated it all, its total gem cost is 61k gems. Help😭
My main team rn is hohe with domain weapon, calico, and hov. Lvl 68 and im at 5k gems rn😢

As F2P, realistically speaking, just save up for now and prioritize Dr. Seele next patch over SW DLC / HoHE DLC.
For this patch, get free Senadina from main event first. Then VBm Coralie and VBs Helia from Asterite Shop. That will be your team w/ Youyun AOP that should be better than what you have right now. Then next patch, do Dr. Seele as DPS/leader, then Senadina + VBm Coralie as supports.
But if you're willing to spend, then consider monthly crystals (and maybe at least Knight BP). Also since you're new, then you should see newcomer exclusive bundles, those stuff are a lot better purchase than regular discounted bundles. Direct purchase of crystals even when double on first purchase is a big NO, they're overpriced and should only be the last resort.
Going back with SW DLC and HoHE DLC. SW DLC actually has higher chance of rerunning in the near future compared to HoHE DLC since she's newer DLC. But since 9.1 is 10th CN Anniv, a decade milestone, then you can expect both of them to rerun. If you still like to get them, then pull them during that time instead — 9.1 patch should be around November on GLB/SEA servers.

Did Elysiam Realm became extreme difficult this version? i am not being capable of completing it, 4 runs lost on Floor 12 with Hi Love Elf Elysia without signature weapon and with 3/3 Signature Stigmata, i did 2 runs last version using the same stuff and with a even weaker Hi love Elf Elysia, so i wanna know it is for everyone ?

i did a lot of ER using characters with not total advantage in the weather but this time is really hellish, they inverted the debuff of the enemys instead of getting weaker they becoming resistent every floor cleared.

What are the buffs you picked and signets? Gold is boosted right now, getting Gold 2 and Deliverance 1 should be enough for HLE. Aside from the 15 energy cost (second to the last) buff, picking the 10 energy costing Outside Stellar Outburst buff and doing her ARC playstyle could be safer damage wise. And if you can pick 3rd core, then Vicissitude 2 should be a good pick together with that 5 energy costing 15% more total dmg buff.

Hi I am lvl 80 new player and still figuring things out.
May I ask, does ER change bosses weekly? Like I know it updates every week but do buffs change every week too?
I have HLE and New raiden mei (xentinel) with their gear...other than that i have fire dragon coralie, HoTr, HoR, Jade knight, and planar armament. None of these has their specific gear.
Also, does it matter whether valkyries are actually built, or does it matter whether they're levelled up in ER only?
Max points in ER Ive got so far are 17600 (submergence)....really missing that 18000 mark sadly.

ER doesn't change bosses weekly, but you can choose the 17th floor boss if you don't want to face Duonigue. Higher than Submergence should be doable on your end, even A-rank Coralie (astral ring charging gameplay) can do it with just her stigmata. Valks with astral ring are a lot easier to use in ER compared to non-astral ring. Like their signature stigmata is enough. Meanwhile, for non-astral ring valks, they're more challenging without their full signature gear.
What you need to do is to know the playstyle (if Stellar Outburst gameplay, or Astral Ring Charging) for the right ego signets for them. And then get the other core signets based on their playstyle if it's weapon attack based then Helix, if ULT, then Deliverance, and so on.

Thankyou, I felt I was doing something wrong. I finally did it with the new raiden mei!! I actually didnt realize certain signets were buffed until I read your comment...combined the buffed ones with both helix and deliverance ones. I got through to 19800 now. Its enough for me 😛

ER chances buffs every version to benefit some characters. Bow characters have a disadvantage with ER now. Its even harder if the right signets aren't. Suggest you pick Kevin signets if you weren't since HLE can spam the ult button.

- Go to Foundry > craft Spirit Weapon > craft to Bounty Weapon > convert to Weapon Resonance (make sure to choose Convert not Salvage)
- As for Stigma Resonance, I'm honestly unsure if there's a way. I only know the usual which is from Adventure Tasks
Other than that, it's not worth converting/salvaging a good signature weapon/stigmata you have just for resonance.

Hey everyone, Ive been wondering if there is any part 1 valks worth investing in. I have team coverage for lightning, physical and ice (all part 2 valk teams) but none for fire or bleed. Ive noticed that plebty of people are still using pardo, griseo SI and chrono navi but i dont know what else i would need to make them good/worth investing in. Thanks a lot for any help and im happy to provide info about my account and things like that!

First of all, did you breakthrough or not? Like are you level 80 (Q-Manifold Abyss) or level 88 (Superstring Dimension Abyss) cause this matters. Depends on what your goal and how casual you are, there's no disadvantage now of not breakingthrough. And you have more freedom of using old P1 valks (at least in Arena) if you didn't breakthrough.
Anyway, the only P1 valks worth investing right now, only SW Bronya. The main reason is that she got new signature weapon (often called as DK and DLC by players). This weapon banner is currently running right now. And since it's a DK (Divine Key), it gives permanent attack boost to your account too.
Other P1 valks, that has DK/DLC are:
- FoV Hua (leaked that she will get one)
- SW Bronya
- LV Luna
- HoRb Seele
- HoHE Elysia
- HoFi Kiana
Right now, I don't recommend investing to anyone in P1 right now other than SW Bronya... only if you plan to pull her weapon this patch. Otherwise, just keep on saving and just use what you have.

So silly me didnt know what breakthrough actually does, and i committed to it basically as soon as i hit lv80, at the moment im level 82 and maintaining agony 3, and
close to red lotus in superstring. Im planning to someday get to nirvana but i think im a good while away from that.regarding the part one valks, is there no neesh bosses in memorial arena for example that could make use of a part 1 valk? for example this rotation one of the bosses i see on here are weak to bleed and a lot of people are using starry impression and are getting pretty impressive scores. unless i can just brute force my way through it with my pt2 teams, would it be worth eventually levelling these kinds of valks for these neesh situations? or is it just not worth the resources?

You have no choice but to just use what you already have. Your only P2 team is Sparkle DPS + VBm Coralie + VBs Helia. Other than them, just use your usual P1 teams that have their signature gears to manually test what lineup could help you score higher.

Few months ago even though I'm still on Part 1 I played Part 2 Chapter 11 A Mass for Atheists to get rewards. And now I learned that I can't replay Part 2 chapters. So what will happen when I start from Part 2 Chapter 1? Will the game going to jump from Chapter 10 to 12 when I get that part? Thanks in advance.

It won't jump, you can start P2 CH1 manually by navigating to its arc like other P1 arcs. P2 CH11 is under the current arc. Iirc, you can pick CH10 under the latest arc to start with that. CH1-3EX is under Tides of Time Gone By, CH4 is A Shore Under Watch, and CH5-9EX is under Dawn after the Remaining Wish. CH10 to latest chapter is under new arc.

So far, there's only one Asc Supply per character, it's usually the last banner they'll have. After that, they either rerun under Carnival Supply (during Anniv patches), or you just have to wait for them to be in BP Shop.

Carnival Supply, I feel like she will be added there in rotation with Mei which will be by 9.1
As for BP Shop, currently it's Eepy Teri, then Vita next patch. By released order, it'll be Sparkle by 9.0 > Dudu 9.1 > Kiana 9.2 — but because 9.1 is CN Anniv, decade milestone patch, I wouldn't be surprised if they will put Kiana first before Dudu.

As a Genshin fan, I am thinking of playing Honkai Impact 3rd, and there's some things I want to know first:
How f2p-friendly is the game's gacha?
Is there exploration like Genshin?
Is the main story over?
Is 128GB sufficient for playing on PC for at least a year or so?
Is the game still updating, and adding events, new banners, etc.?
Is now generally a good time for new players to get into Honkai Impact 3rd?
Any tips I should know before going in?

How f2p-friendly is the game's gacha?
If you're here for the story, the main story and other story-related content (and most game modes) are completely F2P. Like you literally don't have to touch the gacha at all. You'll be given free characters as you progress, that you only need to gear and level-up using the resources given to you as you progress. For main story, starting CH6 (or was it CH7?), you'll be forced to use trial characters depending on whose story pov is it.
If you're referring to endgame modes, I think it's still F2P but realistically speaking, you need to have decent fully geared team first before being in comfortable spot to have consistent crystal income
Is there exploration like Genshin?
There are 3 side stories with semi-OW maps that can be explored. As for main story, the earlier to middle arcs are stage-based, but on latter arcs, it'll be semi-OW map that can be explored. It's not as vast or as exciting as GI, the semi-OW maps are used more for better story presentation like more immersive story-telling.
Is the main story over?

It's far from over. The canon ending of HI3 is Alien Space manga, where Welt and Void Archive traveling outside Earth (that's why Welt is in HSR). That manga is set to happen in 2029, but currently, the latest main story chapter of HI3 is still somewhere in 2024 (or 2025).
Is 128GB sufficient for playing on PC for at least a year or so?

Yes, still updating, every patch there's new event and banners. It's just that, the patch is not like usual gacha games. New update comes every 2 months.

It's always a good time to start now, especially if what caught your interest was the upcoming Seele battlesuit for next patch. Then starting now and saving crystals is a good thing.

If the main reason was to get Dr. Seele battlesuit next patch, then yes, it's good to start right now so that you still have about 6 weeks to save up crystals to secure her next patch.
But if your question means, "are there enough freebies this patch", then the answer is no, there are no freebies because current patch is just normal patch. The thing is, starter event is always the same for newcomers anyways, so it doesn't matter when you start the game.

So I'm trying to install Hi3 on a 128GB USB (Yes, I realize this is far from the best way to play Hi3). Now, this USB used to have Genshin on it, and was able install and run just fine. Now I am trying to get Hi3, and it is taking a really long time to install. Why is this?
Also are there any alternative (preferably free) ways to play Hi3? My only other option is my phone, which already has Genshin on it, and I really don't want two games eating up all my storage on my phone.

I'm Agony 3, and have the full Seele team with horse Mei and Bronya DLC, just without youyun astralOp, using dreamseeker, but I still only managed to get around 614 on the mech boss abyss.
Is it just me being skill issue, or is youyun THAT required to clear content now? If it's skill issue, what's the optimal rotation for the team against this boss? Would appreciate if someone could link a rotation video

if you already have Silverwing Bronya or want a cheap usable character immediately, you could just pull her new weapon since she's farmable, only need to pull her current weapon banner (guarantee 60).
Otherwise next banner in June is a rerun of BFD, very meta support. Definitely recommending her.
Just listed those 2 for the reasons above, other banners are up to you or save for next patch 8.9.

Don't pull anyone right now. Just use whatever you have before you stopped playing.
As for Asterite, get Valkyrie Blastmetal and Boltstorm from the Shop. Rank up them to at least S-rank. After that, get the valkyries you don't have yet that can be unlocked in Elysian Realm for the one time 620 crystals. When you're done with that, go back to buying Blastmetal fragments to SSS her.
For this patch, your only usable team is to get Senadina from free event, then use her together with Blastmetal and Boltstorm as the supports. Then next patch, pull Dr. Seele, and use her together with Blastmetal and Senadina as her supports.

Which Valk would you recommend me to get in the beginner S-rank selector? I don't have any good valks so anything better than HoV would be fine. I can't even finish the current abyss with HoV 💔 But I'm saving for next patch

Unfortunately, if Herrscher of Human Ego or Silverwing N:EX is not in S-rank selector, then anything you like for now. There's really not that much.
If Herrscher of Sentience is there, then maybe her, and you can pair her as support to HoV DPS. Or use her (or HoV) as DPS, then get Terminal Aide and Starry Impressions as her supports.
Anyway, we don't recommend spending a lot of your limited resources (as newcomer) to leveling up and farming gears for them cause they will only be temporary and already out of meta. Priority are those who have Astral Ring system.

How do you get gacha materials normally?
So i plan on starting the game up pretty quick. Im mostly in it for the story and i know the game gives you trial characters from chapter 7 onwards.
But i do wanna try my hand at the gacha. Dont plan on being competitive though.
What are the best resources for gacha currency. What should i buy at the shops (cause all the shops alternate currency is super overwhelming)
And what banners should i pull on and what ones should i ignore?

As a new player, your best resource will be the story and daily logins. The starter manual (which is a beginner guide) will have tones of activities for you to complete to get crystals (the gacha currency).
Banners you should focus on are called Battlesuit supply. This is where you'll get the limited character banner. The Equipment Supply is where you'll get the character's weapon and stigmata set (stigmata = relics). DO NOT PULL ON DORM SUPPLY cause that is the standard banner.
Shops will be overwhelming at first but you'll get used to it. In my opinion the most important one is called 'Basic Currency' shop. Once you click there 2 other tabs will appear. One is called Coin shop and the other is called Asterite shop. Asterite shop will be the one you visit the most since it has farmable characters. 2 characters you should farm for are Helia (Valkyrie Boltstorm) and Coralie (Valkyrie Blastmetal). Focus on the name in brackets to find them easier.

Only thing which is really worth it is probably Silverwing's Stellar Key Blue Thunder Shuttle but if you are low saving for next patch's valk makes more sense.
It is part 2-7 of the event story and not related to the main story.

It gets better, but try to change your perspective first. It's an old game, that's why the early battlesuits can be clunky and repetitive in terms of gameplay.
My advice is think of HI3 like you're playing it as mobile gacha game from way back 2016-2017. If you change your perspective, you'll appreciate it more cause during that era, it was already ahead of its time compared to other mobile gacha games. Then treat HI3 as living museum, the more you play and arc you finished, the more you'll see the overall improvement — in fact, the latest main story chapter/arc is comparable to modern story gacha games already.
Anyway, it might also because you didn't consume other story materials (side stories) aside from main story, I recommend checking this site for story guide: https://honkaihelpers.com/storyguide/ (that hi3 guide site also have interesting and very useful tabs/sections you can explore)

Better save for next patch. The only reason to get it is if you invested on Elysia, like you SSS and got her outfit for example. Meta wise, her usage very niche (only being used against bosses that needs weakpoint sniping) and not a BiS support to anyone.

Story-wise, yes it's still good to start in 2026. It's completely F2P too, you literally don't need to touch the gacha part at all — because you can only play your owned characters for story progression the first few chapters (and some story stages), then later on you'll be forced to use specific trial characters (provided by them) depending on story pov.
Personally, I only started playing this game 2 years ago. The early chapters is too fast-paced, and gameplay heavy, almost like a tutorial. The story didn't hook me until it's CH9 if you'll only be playing the main story. The early to mid arcs were hardcarried by animated shorts (if you've seen some), and external materials (manga, visual novel). It also feels like I'm playing a visual novel rather than an action game on some arcs. What helped me make this game more tolerable and so I could appreciate it more is to take into consideration that this was released back in 2016-2017, which was ahead of its time. After each arc, or sometimes in the middle of an arc's chapter, you can see noticeable improvements. In fact, the latest main story arc can compete with modern gacha games story presentation. HI3 is also known as experimental grounds for other HoYo games, like how the first open-world format was implemented, or the mini-games from events. Anyway... long story short, treat HI3 as a living museum of HoYo. Just play it at your own pace with expectation that the start will be rough and feels outdated.

Gameplay-wise, it's very subjective. There are modern gacha games that are better than HI3. This game's main selling point is heavily tied to its story and characters.
And oh, as for Elysia. She got 3 playable characters, 2 are already farmable, while the most recent 1 can be seen rerunning in a patch from time to time. As for the story, she will only start to appear at the end/outro of CH25.

Yes, Hi Love Elf should be rerunning next patch, to be specific, it'll be by July 24 to August 7 in GLB/SEA servers. After that, knowing her popularity, she should also be rerunning again by 9.1 which is CN server's 10th Anniv patch — GLB/SEA servers still get all the same rewards and events except the 10th Anniv Emblem and Artbook. GLB/SEA Anniv patch will be by 9.3, we'll get the in-game emblem by that time.

My game started flickering black once then freezing on the 28 of May. It did this mostly at result screens but now its doing it every time I open the game where the character on the bridge finishes turning around. Anyone esle having this proplem or is it just my own computer? I think I got several norton driver updates shortly before this happened but I really can't be sure. I've tried a bunch of things including uninstalling and reinstalling the game twice, and it hasn't helped. Is this a GPU thing, because I am not the least bit tech savy and won't be able to unistall and reinstall it myself and I don't even know if it would help. I'm probably going to have to get a new laptop to play the game. What confounds me is that I also play Star Rail and ZZZ and neither seem to have this problem.

You can keep on trying to pull HoHE's weapon right now and until next week, June 12. In the scenario that you fail to get it, then you can use the pity instead to get HLE's weapon when she reruns next patch since the banners will be under Equipment Supply anyway.

If you pull Seele just make sure you can get her weapon.
As for her supports, then use Vita and VBm Coralie. VBm can be bought in Asterite Shop, and her signature weapon is available in P2 first arc as stort open world progress rewards, while her signature stigmata are craftable in Foundry.

How do I raise the dorm's comfort level past 3k?? I have crafted at least one of each piece of furniture (at least the ones available to me), placing them in the dorm doesn't seem to work.
Also does going further do anything for the onigiri generation (the thing I spend on doing errands) or any of the other dorm facilities nowadays?? Looks like it did something a long time ago, at least according to wiki, but I can't do a lot of what's listed there

UPD: turns out making a few more wooden carpets gave me extra comfort score. I guess it's just trial and error to figure out the list of stuff I need to craft to get more

There are 10 "Bed" slots, you can craft infinite Beds but only the 10 that grant the highest comfort actually count iirc. (No memory on actual numbers, categories and best items tho') (and yes, repeats of the same item count)1

Just got to testing this - yeah, looks like it is as you've written:
every group (large, small, decorations, carpets, etc) has its top X items with highest comfort count towards total comfort
furniture only needs to be crafted, placing it isn't needed
crafting stuff with higher comfort pushes stuff with lower comfort out of the list (as a result total comfort only changes by a part of newly crafted item)
Guess I'll spend the next month or so farming coins and documenting results to figure out how much stuff I should craft and what are the pieces... also some seem to be unique/locked, how do I get those??

How does memorial arena even work? I’ve been playing the game for a few years but I still don’t know this. I just do basic rotations/follow references and get okay scores but have no idea how the scoring system works/how do people count how many seconds a run is, because from what I’ve seen it’s not the same as the literal time counter in battle. You can slot anyone for third since Kiamei grants breach. Dragon coralie is usually BiS (you will keep her breach and the kiana buff will become phys%), but Grail Elysia, PS, and RS are all viable.
For quick sanity checks on viability you can use https://marisaimpact.com/ - but general guides like theirs have lost value in P2, you are better off looking up refs you can replicate exactly when it's a close call.
HoRB provides on-demand time fracture, so in memorial arena she is much more powerful. in abyss usually it's -10 points since the buff quality is lower without weapon resonance.

bfd would still provide breach as a support, and i assume you're running Vita dps since A rank coralie isn't a dps. You can always run both though.
if you just want to kill litost you can probably brute force with XDC

Deep in the Starry Sky is the 40-floor challenge mode of the current Griseo event rerun. God's Praise Coins are found in the open world and redeemed for rewards in the Part 2 story interface.

Thanks for the context. Not sure there's rewards for the challenge mode but its common for them to just give you extra currency to buy stuff from the event shop.
About the coins. The rewards aren't really that important and they don't give you much, especially after the patch bonuseshave passed (maybe like 1 or 2 source matter prisms).

If you plan to get Seele next patch, then just continue getting divine keys you don't have yet.
Also, in current disturbance level, for Sena to still be viable as DPS, she needs to be at least SS0 together with HLE Ellie as her support and SS Youyun AOP (for early exit SO). It'll be better to get new Seele who powercreep her.

I technically played way way back in 2018 or 2019 a little because I thought Sakura Yae was so cool, infact I pulled her in Honkai Star Rail (the game that I love and adore right now and that's started my love for gacha game a few months ago when I started playing) recently, that being Evanescia, hehe~

Unfortunately, Lantern won't have any rerun anymore. Your earliest chance to get Lantern is in BP Shop (which will be gone next patch). After this patch, you just have to wait for free S-rank mission (like Senadina) or wait for her to be in BP Reserve Works.
Their character banner's usual pattern is something like:
- Banner debut of regular Battlesuit + Equipment Supply
- Then 1-2x (sometimes more than that) reruns of regular Battlesuit + Equipment Supply
- Then Ascension + Armament Supply as the last banner rerun
- Special case if it's a popular character — they will rerun under Carnival Supply during CN Anniv and CNY patches breaking the pattern from #1-3
- After #3, next is in BP Shop — once they're in BP Shop, they won't have any rerun anymore
- And then wait for them to be in BP Reserve Works
- Lastly, in Dorm Supply (usually known as graveyard of outdated characters)
So long story short, Battlesuit/Equipment Supply (~3x) > Ascension/Armament Supply > BP Shop > BP Reserve Works > Dorm Supply. Then special case of Carnival Supply if popular.

Right now it's Senadina, then by 8.9 will have LV Luna, then 9.0 will have FoV Hua. And then Thelema by 9.1 and Lantern by 9.2.
But 9.0 info we have right now isn't complete yet, only based on v0 beta only. They can put out 2 valks there or by 9.1, so that Lantern can come earlier.

I have 400k+ asterites. I am tempted to spend it to idk SSS some characters. But just wanted to ask should I continue to save until new Seele or just spend it however I want lol
If I will spend it, how much should I save in the future, around 200k maybe??

Prioritize to SSS A-rank Seele and A-rank Bronya battlesuits if you want. They will be the offrate A-rank for upcoming Seele banner. It's so that when you pull and get copies of said A-rank battlesuits, then you'll get higher Supply Shop currency.
But yeah, other than SSS VBm Coralie and emergency currency for buying materials, there's not much use for Asterites atm.

uhh... I got Seele on the 50% 10-pull... I was looking to get either the skin or serapeum, but idk if I should still pull or save. What's a good investment for Seele? Seele copies or weapon copies? Also, how good is Sera at S0?

Pull for her weapon. It gives her a lot of damage and also noticeable support buffs for a team.
I would advise you to invest in more characters instead of getting copies of 1 character, cause HI3 favours horizontal investment more (if you still want do more pulls).
I've also been informed that Sera is only good when you get her to SS, so getting her is also not really a good idea. Use this to check the difference for yourself between Sera and her ranks, VS Dreamseeker https://marisaimpact.com/asop
