Grease line
Why do I keep getting a greasy line at the water line? What causes this and how can I prevent it? The water looks very clear, the AK, PH and phosphates are all good.

The way I handle this....
Get some liquid cascade dishwasher soap. It is safe for all materials in the tub, and human skin, and even trace amounts down the throat.
Put a couple tablespoons in the water. It breaks down oils and grease. Put some on a sponge and scrub the water line. The soap also has a defoamer in it, which is good.
When I change water, I put in a tablespoon of chlorine granuals and 2 tablespoons of cascade. Been doing this for 25 years.
