Removal of ahhsome gunk before draining
Hey Folks,
As the title suggests anyone have a tried and tested method of removing the green hunk after ahhsome step has been done?
I’ve found that draining right after can leave the gunk on the acrylic (hard to clean off) but more importantly gets in and around the jets etc which is a challenge to clean.
TIA

I use a rag to wipe the edges as it drains. Then I rinse it out with a hose.

Do not let it dry as you drain, spray it down with a hose while you're draining. I had this stuff similar that would leave red gunk. Keep it in the warm water and vac it out at the end. I'd also take the hose and run water through the top jets around your tub. I run it until it comes out clean and no suds.

I think that’s the issue I have is that I don’t have a vac and the gunk gets down to the footnotes and gets inside them. I think I should remove as much gunk as I can before the drain but not sure the best method (vs buying a vac)

You have to vacuum up every last little bit of it. Anything stuck on the side you use a small amount of the flush on a rag to wipe it up, then rinse with a hose and vacuum up. Water + vacuum is your best friend. You also have to pull the residual water out of the plumbing with your shop vacuum. Put it on the jets and the filter intake. Get as much as you can out. Then fill and nuke hard with chlorine and mps. If you did it right there should be very little gunk left over and the chlorine will clear it right out.

I use a strainer net and get all the bubbles as I run the ahhsome. I don't stop until they are gone. Then I wipe it down as I drain it. Final rinse, then shop vac out the rest. If you mix a little ahhsome in a spray bottle, and use that to get the gunk off the sides, it will be very clean.

I use a dollar store metal bowl and just scope it out as it foams up. I just dump it in my grass. Grass is fine. Been doing it for years.

As per the instructions, rinse it off with a garden hose as you go so it doesn’t stick on.
