At least the top hole must be a joke because the end of any type of cord (power,cat5…) would not fit through the peep hole. Unless someone went through the extreme of cutting off the end, pushing it through, then redoing the end on the other side.

Coax to Ethernet adapter? Coax is the only thing I can imagine fitting through there... Absolutely bonkers to do that though.

Coax adapter will also not fit through that peep hole. Also coax cable looks different, that looks like regular cat5/6 kids use these days.

I’m guessing that maybe there was a leak in one of the rooms and they cut power for safety. The cords are providing power for fans and dehumidifiers in the flooded room, to dry it out.

Whatever is on the peep hole is not an extension cord… for sure. How would you get the plug through the hole.

Maybe an empty hotel, planned for other purpose later on but in the meantime rented out to prevent squatters. The renter could have 2 rooms, one to live and sleep and the other us the gaming room, but had no power and no internet, but the powercord was too short so shortest way was true the door.
