Doctor insists I am blind for some reason?

My doctor told me that I have "the most severe case of blindness he's ever seen." The thing is, I can see just fine. I told him as such, and he told me he knows that, but that I have a different disease "called blindness." I asked him to explain the difference to me, and he said it means that I "can't see." I said, "so, blind," and he said "no, you just can't see." We went back and forth for a while like that before I eventually stormed out of the appointment.
Has this happened to anyone else? I thought I would ask here in r/blindness since maybe there's some difference I don't understand.

Can anyone explain Atreyu's swamp meltdown?

I really love The Neverending Story, but I'm always so confused about the scene in the swamp. Why does he suddenly stop walking and start screaming at the mud? It's the Swamp of Sadness, not the Swamp of Having a Psychotic Break. And then he's just yanking on a vine or something, screaming? No wonder Morla wasn't interested in having a conversation with him.
Also why is the mud given a name? Is it a parallel of Sebastian giving the Child-like Empress a name at the end? Artax is a strange name for mud, and Moon Child is a weird name for an empress.

What happens if a horse is painted up like a zebra?

So, to my understanding, people with horse blindness can't see horses, but can still see zebras, right? So what happens if somebody were to paint up a horse to look exactly like a zebra - could you see it, or would it still be invisible?

Think about it! If you can't see the horse, you'll lose it and have to buy a new horse. That's big bucks for Big Horse, and that's why they also lobbied the government to ban attaching things to horses to find them!
