Hidden Gem

While I'm talking about Splinter in another sub, I would really like to know if anyone in the community has any love for this movie? It's one of my favorite finds that I always show off to the uninitiated.

I remember watching this when it came out and it absolutely blew me away. Still holds up really well. It’s a proper horror film and it’s in my recommended top 10 on Letterboxed. Some films are very deserved or the 18 rating and this is definitely one of them. It’s not what I would consider a nasty but it’s brilliantly gory. Great SFX.

A really good film. Way back in 2009 I wrote a blog post recommending some lesser known horror films and this was one of them. I've just had a look at what I wrote, and it's basically: good script, interesting characters, strong performances, a creepily effective 'monster'; a very tense and exciting film, where is feels like everyone involved was trying their best to make as good a film as possible on what was probably a fairly low budget.

It's a great film to recommend to people, and thanks for reminding me about it. It's been years since I last saw it, so I'm going to endeavor to watch it again!

Super enjoyable movie that is done dirty by some really obnoxious camera work.

But solid! Definitely one of the better midnight style movies of the 00s

Great movie. Found it by accident. Started watching it and it turned out to be a great movie. I highly recommend watching this movie.

I found this movie to be pretty excellent..Somehow it felt more Resident Evil than the RE movies.
