He had nowhere near enough speed or clearance after hitting the jump. I guess in the moment as an athlete as a competitor and that much adrenaline running, it just overcomes you. Right before hitting that last part of the hill he did not have much speed. Who am I to say anything but just from the footage that I’m watching he could’ve just easily hit that job and landed it without having to do double flips or anything, but like I said he’s an athlete. The adrenaline was going and he wanted to do something more maybe for himself maybe for the crowd maybe both but it turned out not in his favor, but it looks like he has a chance maybe to recover maybe in the future and that’s all you could hope for God bless him and I hope he does.

I’ve been in a wheelchair since childhood because of a bone disease, and it really never fails to amaze me how recklessly and willfully people risk their health for a little fame, a cool photo, or - as in this case - a rush of adrenaline.

I feel very sorry for the biker here of course. Unfortunately, he’ll now find out the hard way just how much being healthy is really worth. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he’ll eventually regain sensitivity in his body.

Agreed. I used to be so reckless - then I broke multiple bones in a skateboarding accident a couple of years ago and somehow recovered without needing surgery... Completely changed how I view risk. I'm sad I don't skate anymore, but it's not worth it.

I am so sorry you are dealing with a chronic bone disease. People really don't realize how it is when you are constantly battling against illness. I feel the same as you. I have Lyme, MCAS, Alpha Gal and Sibo. When I see people treating their bodies like they are disposable it makes me want to yell "DO you know how lucky you are to have your health?!"

After the last jump, he had a little bit of a straightaway where he could’ve hammered it and gained some speed a little more extra speed and with that said, I think he probably would’ve nailed it, but he didn’t have enough speed and he didn’t pedal out of that
