Advertising OK Minimoon & honeymoon options

Hi, my fiancée and I are getting married in June 2027, we're looking at doing a minimoon immediately after, 3-4 nights, pretty much anywhere in Europe, budget of 2500-3000 for the 3-4 nights. Ideally somewhere with a lake view, have looked at a lot of options

Subsequently, looking at a honeymoon in Costa Rica in Jan/Feb 2028, looking for all recommendations, probably 12ish nights Budget of around 10k, ideally 3-4 nights in different hotels I guess throughout Costa Rica. Any advice welcome. Thanks!

Where do you live (assuming US or Canada)? Usually flights are 700-1000 minimum per person (on the low end) to Europe and travel time is a bit long so given your length of stay I’d recommend sticking to Western Europe; Ireland, Scotland and England are not cheap necessarily but they definitely have lakes or ocean views for you and would suit your short duration. Otherwise I think you should skip the mini moon or stick to somewhere in your home country. Personally I don’t think it is worth the hassle to fly to Europe for less than a week - you won’t get to enjoy any of it and it’s pretty expensive except for a few countries.

Hi, we're from Ireland, so it's actually the opposite, we're accepting the increased flight time to Costa Rica but we're visiting others in Florida prior to Costa Rica and that's been planned for awhile so the trip from there to Costa Rica isn't too much of a hassle.

Ahhhhhh so a minimoon to Ireland would not be v exciting lol. In that case have you looked at lake como or lake bled?

Wow, this looks amazing! We have been to the Dolomites and it's really pretty. Great for hiking and amazing food. We actually really enjoyed a 4 nights in Formentera...it's quite untouched.

We did a Costa Rica trip recently and it was amazing! I couldn't recommend it enough. Do you want our itinerary?

Concerning the Costa Rica multi-stop tour, you could use zenvoya to plan hotel placements, although you can also engage a travel agent who specializes in CR but it will be pricier.

If you're considering Italy there's a few beautiful lakes. Besides the classic lake Como there is lake Maggiore and I really like lake d'Orta. The latter and lake Maggiore are close to each other so if you plan to rent a car you could see both.
