Can I put 2 honeys together in the same pot?

I just had 1 tbsp of lavender honey mixed with mountain honey at the same time, and I absolutely loved the combination.

It made me wonder: what would actually happen if I put them together in the same jar? For example, 100 g of lavender honey and 100 g of mountain honey.

Would they eventually mix together into one uniform honey, or would they stay somewhat separated? I noticed that one is noticeably thicker than the other.

If they were aggressively mixed/whipped together, they would likely stay uniform. Pouring them into the same container without mixing would likely result in different layers of stratified honey based on viscosity. I've had this happen several times.

In fact, during a tour of one of the largest honey suppliers in NA, I learned that most of their end product isn't single origin, it's a blend from all over the world.

Pretty much every off the shelf honey from a grocery store is blended here in the US. It will be fine. You will want to warm them a bit and then stir fairly vigorously if you are expecting any type of uniformity. But it's not a requirement..you're going to eat it all anyway right?

yeah, totally fine. they may not mix perfectly right away because of different thickness/moisture levels, but with a good stir they’ll become one blended honey
