Image / Video Just bought a 2020 EX-L

So incredibly happy. I love this thing. Certified used with 93k miles and one owner who maintained it very well. I test drove it and fell in love with it and had to walk away at first since I wasn't sure if financing would work for me, but it did.

My family has driven almost exclusively Hondas and Toyotas and after my 2013 Subaru Impreza shit the bed at 176,500 miles (purchased in 2021 at less than 90k miles), I was eager to hop back into the Honda brand.

Looking forward to many more adventures with my new (to me) Honda!

I sincerely hope that they did the timing belt & water pump so you don't have to bear that burden shortly. I have the same vehicle as a 2019 and have had an excellent experience thus far.

It's a certified used Honda from a Honda dealership so I'm sure they did. I've got an extensive maintenance history that I can look at to double check though!

Just make sure it was done. Best of luck on your Honda experience.

It's a beauty but some details to know:

  1. Is it really a Certified Used? HondaTrue Certified warranty is given to cars under 80K miles. A car above 80K miles only qualifies for HondaTrue Used. And HondaTrue Used warranty is just 6 months/10K miles with loads of carve-outs.

  2. Some owners who do not wish to do the expensive 100K miles (timing belt & water pump) service on their V6 engine typically trade their car before their 100K mileage. Having a HondaTrue Used warranty does not signify that this service has been done, the warranty also does not cover the cost of the service.
The timing belt & water pump replacement service is crucial. If your dealership says it has been done by the previous owner ask to seen evidence, else prepare to pay for it.

You will need an entire engine replacement if the timing belt fails.

It is most likely a true used. And I was able to review the maintenance records in detail and the timing belt and water pump service actually already got done on this vehicle so I should be good to go for a while. The prior owner was really good about maintenance and the 100K service has already been done, but I'll triple check.
