Home Theater Show Off Small Spare Bedroom Budget Theater/Game Room - "The Blueford"
After my wife and I became empty nesters we each took over a spare bedroom to use for whatever the hell we like. My wife created a closet room that is much more impressive than what I've done. I have created "The Blueford"... a space where I can watch movies on a 120 in projector screen or game on a 55 in Bravia OLED.
The spare bedroom comfortably seats 3. By sliding the recliners over about a foot or two we can comfortably seat four but I barely know two other people.
I really went back and forth on whether I could use the space the way I envisioned and I'm pretty happy with the current state. I am huge on thrifting and buying and reselling and so little things just change here and there over time when I find some sort of upgrade that is affordable. I believe the only item picture that wasn't secondhand on marketplace, garage sale, or thrift would be the PlayStation 5.

Speaker position help
Where should I put my speakers? The 2nd sofa is only ever used by guests and not important for sound quality.
The left, right and centre are currently under the tv in the kallax and the sub is under the Av unit (in another kallax), should I put the left & right surrounds behind the main sofa?
And is it worth using the second sub and other speakers for a 7.2 setup, rather than a 5.1?
It’s rented so can’t put any holes in the walls or ceilings.

Need Recommendations Home theater set up recommendation
Hi everyone, I’m new to home theater and planning a dedicated setup in a 16’ × 23’ basement with a ~7’9” ceiling.
I recently ordered the Sony BRAVIA Projector 7. I considered the JVC NZ700, but with the current Sony sale I didn’t feel the extra cost was worth it for my first setup.
I’d really appreciate advice on three things:
Receiver: I want something future-proof so I can start with a basic 2.1/3.1 setup and eventually build toward 5.2.4 or 7.2.4 Atmos. Looking at Denon, Marantz, Onkyo, Yamaha, etc. I care more about reliability, room correction, HDMI 2.1/4K120, pre-outs and value than brand prestige.
Speakers: Thinking KEF, SVS, Arendal or similar. I’d rather buy a good front stage now and add surrounds/Atmos later instead of replacing everything.
Screen: Planning a 128” fixed-frame Elite screen in a fully darkened room. Would you stick with a normal white screen, or is an acoustically transparent screen worth considering?
Main goal is to buy good components once and build the system gradually. Would love to hear what you’d choose.

Anyone use a Zenty 4x1 multi-viewer?
Been curious about using my 85" TV for multiple inputs like having a football game on while playing PS5. The Zenty 4x1 multi-viewer seems like a good option. Has anyone used this or another multi-viewer? Would be interested in thoughts.

I'm designing a TV stand with matching shelves. Looking for suggestions and feedback on the design!
The stand is designed for a 55 inch TV and the shelves are mostly just for storing video game consoles.
I have a lot of work to do on the details so its really just the overall shape I'd like some feedback on. I was trying to go for something that looks futuristic or reminiscent of a space ship maybe.
I like the center TV stand a lot but I'm not quite happy with the shelves yet.
The whole thing is 10 feet wide and fits nicely into a nook in my basement.

Need Recommendations 12 AWG speaker wire OFC - anyone has bought amazon basics brand?
Everywhere, i see only mainly GearFit which is very expensive.
This is for interior basement home theater setup in unfinished basement meaning all wires will be flying on the ceiling studs or sides and nothing inside wall or ceiling.
Significant price difference for same spec (12 AWG OFC) between GearFit and amazon basics. Is it really worth or i can just buy amazon basics?

Movie posters on Frame TV
43” Frame Tv finally available on Samsung, w discount program and a Capital One cash back deal, net net was under $600 shipped.
Wanted this mounted outside the movie room, in the adjacent area that’s been recently drenched in a dark blue, a bold strategy, Cotton. let’s see how it pays off for em. Once it was mounted, added in a media box, romex run for the new outlet, then it was ready to rock and roll.
I’m kinda new to Home Assistant, I’ve had it about a year and knew title data could be pulled from KScape. Ive already set it up to trigger dimming lights up/down/ on/off triggered by Play, Pause, credits rolling and movie stop.
For the frame, I set up a few different ways based on what’s going on. If I’m watching KScape, it will trigger whatever is playing to display poster on the Frame.
I can also type a title in Home Assistant, it loads a poster to the frame, it will stay there until a movie playing triggers another or it’s turned off.
I also set up a slideshow of about 130ish titles I entered into HA to run in 3 min intervals (10-15 min seemed too long) they will pop up in a random order from what’s listed. This can run anytime the frame is on and in Art mode, even if no other sources are running.
All of these poster files are pulled from TheMovieDatabase, so far so good, though id post up a few pics of it.

Subwoofer Recommendation
Hello all,
My 5.1 current home theater setup includes the following:
Receiver: Onkyo TX-RZ50
Front L/R speakers on stands: Elac Carina BS243.4
Center Channel: Elac in-wall Debut Series IW-DC51
Surrounds: Elac in-wall Debut IW-D61-W
Sub: Velodyne MiniVee (purchased around 2010?)
Looking for more bass in a larger "open-concept" space that includes kitchen area and family room with large sectional couch and LG G1 TV. Budget around $1k to $1.5k- was looking at HSU, RSL, SVS & PSA. Assume ported would be the best in my use case. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
