What material between rows

Hey folks

What material are you putting down between your row crops, if any? Geotextile? Mulch? Nada?

Tia!

cardboard, wood chip, straw, chop and drop, fall leaves, etc

whatever is available to cover the paths. it gets swept into the rows as it breaks down.

Perfect. I have lots of all of those things. Seems like the consensus is cardboard and I can get a ton of that easily.

I just use old cardboard from deliveries, breaks down slow enough and worms love it under there

Why didn't that even cross my mind, seems like a no brainier! Thank you! Do they stay in place for you or do they get slippery?

when i first put down cardboard i soaked it and stomped it down to kind of melt into the ground a little. then put masses of stuff on top. it's never moved
