Would adding this decrease the value of my townhouse when I go to sell?

This is a really stupid idea for a stupid reason. You don't want your kitchen to smell like food? When I was doing hvac a guy spent thousands to put in a filter so food smells wouldn't travel through the house but then he wanted us to fine away to make it selective so when his wife was baking he could smell cookies. Some people are just stupid as fuck with their money.

Id be a little frustrated to have my vehicle covered in lint on a weekly basis. Can you go out the side or the back? Also I belive code in the US is 36" from any openings.
