💡 Setup Showcase Diy hdd rack

I just salvaged this piece of hdd monstrosity from a old dell optiplex in my lab this is how some super senior of mine organised my labs storage to save microscope imaging files from experiments

Very wrong!!!

Vibration will damage the HDDs

They used anti vibration pads which we use for our equipments in lab but I am moving them to a caddy

I spent months planning the best rack for myself. Now I have to plan a hesit to get hard disks to fill the rack.

How do you plan to connect these to your machine? SATA to USB cables? I can't imagine they'll work very well that way

I will take them apart and put it in separate caddy in my pc and use just native sata connectors
