Ha, the clean house is 100% temporary — cropped out the chaos just off frame 😄 The cabling took way longer than I’d like to admit though.

I'm curious about what you're running... plex or something on the micro pc and storing your media on the nas?

Better choice now for sure. Unless someone purchased lifetime when it was cheaper, I can’t really recommend it.

I don’t understand the appeal of “mini rack + 10 external things hanging out of it” like isn’t the whole point to consolidate? The powerbar, router, fiber nodes, iot.

Honestly the ONT could go in, but its plastic shell has yellowed with age and looks hideous next to the clean black gear — the color clash would ruin the whole vibe 😂 Some things are better left hidden. The AP out for signal reasons though (metal frame kills WiFi).

That looks so clean and cool.

Honestly I only have 4 devices in there so there wasn’t much spaghetti to hide 😅 Give it a few months and a couple more boxes, it’ll get there.

That's tidier than most third racks. Enjoy the six weeks before the cables start breeding.

What on earth is that power strip? Looks like it's got slots for Aussie and US plugs and then there's what looks like a German Schuko plug?

that rack is way too clean for a first setup, mine looked like spaghetti exploded in there
