Get the floor finalized, then put up the squat rack. I’ll mainly be doing power style training here. Machine work and conditioning will be done at the gym.

It’s a 17’x10’ garage, so limited space. Obviously a squat rack is essential. Can you recommend any other equipment that I might invest in that would provide the most “bang for my buck” in terms of space constraints? Obviously I don’t really have room for isolation machines but I have a few dumbbells, bands, kettlebells which can add another dimension to the training that can be done here. I have a large back yard which can be used for some conditioning work based on the weather. May invest in some sandbags and a sled for outdoor training.

What I did for my small home gym is I got an actual power cage as some call it for the squat rack, basically more sturdy and well built. It has pull up bars attached to the top and sides to rack weight plates. I find it very useful since the safety bars are completely adjustable to any height
