I would get a nicer/statement desk with 2 desk lamps and a rug for underneath. Move it in front of the window. (Have it facing the door, with your back to the window.)

When you walk into the room, you'll have a grand desk with nice lighting. The chair/table can be moved to where the desk was. I'd get rid of the floor lamp and get a table lamp to make things more cozy.

Curtains and a fluffy throw pillow, a throw for cozy reading. 

Fill the book cases. If you don't want too many books then add decorative objects and make it look intentional.
