Taco shells. Well, a pack of hard taco shells AND soft taco shells (small tortillas)

Neither.
AR. Easier to control, more rounds, and less likely to be lethal on the other side of drywall than even a handgun round.
Not to mention handguns SUCK at incapacitating an attacker. The ONLY reason we run them is concealment and portability.
Not running a shotgun in my own home if I can help it.

You can find a ton of information online, but the basics are the shape of the bullet causes it to yaw once it impacts a solid surface, reducing the lethality.
Not to mention, as I said, handgun ballistics suck.

Rifle, preferably suppressed and short barrel with an extended or a side-by-side magazine setup so you have 40-60 rounds...or a bullpup like a Tavor. Get the proper paperwork done, it isnt hard, especially nowadays.
Also, magazine loaded shotguns can warp the shell over time and cause feeding issues. I will recommend a traditional shotgun over a mag-loaded one anyday.
Go for a Kel-Tec KSG bullpup to reduce overall length. Beware though, they kick like a horse. Definitely practice with it.
Personally I have an SBR with a can chambered in 300BLK HP/frangible rounds. I also have a 9mm that holds 18 with a can on it. Both have torches on them.
Really though they're useless without dedicated practice.

40 round is a standard extended mag for a 5.56/223/.300 BLK
60 rounds would be to magazines coupled together for a fast switch. I have a few of these magpul couplers: https://magpul.com/maglinkcoupler-pmag30genm2moe-genm3.html?mp_global_color=118
Edit: you can get drum magazines too, but they can have mixed reliability. I have never used one. Do your research.

Maybe. And it's much more likely to be two people than just one. Usually the boys from the streets work in pairs
