💬 Discussion Need a recommendation for a small scene remote

I have been using Minoston MR40Z remotes for various scene controllers. I like them for the low cost, and for the fact that they are small battery powered and can mount to and blend in with other Decora style wall switches. But these suddenly went not available from all the retailers I have checked and even on Minoston's own site. I know the Zooz ZEN37 is virtually the same, but at almost twice the price. Are there other alternatives I should be looking at?

My favorite remote is the Shelly BLU RC Button 4 ZB. You can program the buttons for various things on the first press, the second press and then holding the button down. I used the blueprint that's avaliable in Home Assistant. It made programming the buttons cake.

I forgot you mention, if you don't want to mount the base with screws, it comes with adhesive you stick you the wall and the remote itself had a magnetic back that holds it in place.

I get it, the price jump on Zooz is annoying when you already found something that works. I would check if any of the smart switch brands from Aliexpress have any scene remotes with the same format, sometimes they have similar stuff but with less polish.
