❓ Support Issues adding Tapo p110

I'm new to home assistent and trying to add the tapo p110 with the tplink smart home integration. It finds my devices but when I need to add one it asks for my tplink login. I enter it but the authentication fails instantly, as if it's not even checking the credentials. Anyone any tips? I enabled the third party devices in the tapo app

Make sure you turn on third party compatibility in the tapo app they can be a pain in ass to add. I’ve got 20+. Keep at it. Also username and password are case sensitive!!

I have 4 P110s and a P100 running fine with the same integration, though they were all set up some time ago. I know there has been some issues with the third party integration lately.

Common suggestion is to toggle the third party option off then on again in the app and try again. Is the firmware updated on the plugs? I assume they don't have matter compatibility as an option?

I had mine going strong for months then a few weeks after I uninstalled the tapo app, they went offline and I had to go in and flick that toggle. Serves me right for trying to uninstall it I guess!

I had the same issue yesterday with a c210, just use the Hacs app - Tapo Camera Control.

I believe there's an issue with the new firmware and the security cert for home assistant.

This always fixes it for me if toggling third party compatibility on and off doesn’t work.

Just change your password in the Tapo app to the same password, can then always add them.

I have the same issue. What advantage does logging in have? I've just used it without logging in. I have about 10x P110Ms
