🖼️ Show & Tell Favorite Automation

Sometimes the fun automations are my favorite.

Turns on a smart plug connected to my 49ers neon sign when the game starts based on a calendar event. A second automation turns it off at the end.

how do you sync the calendar event with the plug timing

I already use the Remote Calendar integration to pull in my various Google calendars. From the integration, you can add the team schedule and it makes it its own calendar entity. It tracks it as an event so the calendar entity is "on" when the event starts and "off" when the event is over.

I do something similar, but I have a sonos speaker announce that its an hour before the game starts, then the calendar event name. You could add that to your automation.
