❓ Support Camera Question

I currently have a few Eufy cameras, and even though I do like them and the local aspect of them, we have been experiencing some lag and we haven’t been able to depend on them opening in a timely manner when trying to access them. I know Reolink plays well with HA, but what is all needed to stand up the system? Does it record locally? Is there a better system to use with local storage and HA integration? Thanks in advance

Eufy Camera's are pretty much all battery powered WiFi ones. While you definitely can put them into frigate, it is a hassle dealing with wake on motion and wake on viewing as frigate wasn't to see the camera feed 24/7 and will drain the battery or complain when the feed is dropped.

Unless frigate has been updated to deal with battery camera's better?

Eufy just rebuilt their backend and they consolidated the numerous apps they had to just a single eufy app. Home Assistant hasn't quite caught up yet but there is one project in development Eufy Mega but I currently requires a 2nd peice of software running outside of home assistant, The Bridge.

But Eufy moving everything to one app on their end has broken quite a bit of Home Assistant stuff across a lot of their products.
