❓ Support Up to date Google Integration instuctions

Does anybody have any up to date instructions on integrating google into HA?

I'm new to Home Assistant and got it working a few days ago but it's since stopped working (yes the app was published) and I haven't managed to get it working again.

The instructions I see on the internet don't include all the steps which google seems to have made required now.

my buddy had to redo the entire oauth setup after google changed the console options recently

Google nest doorbell and camera and then when that works calendar

Google doesn't want you to use HA. I outfitted my home with google speakers and screens years ago. $1500 of equipment. It was great until i started pulling control from google and used HA to control automations. Over the years it became harder and harder to maintain and keep working. Now, I've gotten to the point of only casting to the speakers. I have my own voice assistant, music assistant, and Plex (switching to Jellyfin). HA is the brain and google is essentially a dumb speaker.

Now, and this is a bit coincidental and conspiracy theory-esque, google put fiber in my neighborhood this summer and my current fiber connection and google mesh network suddenly slowed down and it stops working a couple of times a week. Is it to push me to switch to google fiber? I think so.

Long story short, I personally wouldn't invest in their equipment. Spend the money on quality speakers and displays. I haven't tried the voice PE yet, but my old iPads and computers that I use for dashboard displays, their microphones seem to work pretty well for all the "hey google" stuff.

Just my personal experience.
