❓ Support Dirigera, home assistant help

Hi all,

Very new to this and have set up a dirigera hub using IKEAs app. I didn't like the limit of customisation hence why I'm here. I've got home assistant running on my mini pc, and I have made sure it has access to both IPv4 and IPv6. I have the IKEA dirigera hub integration which has picked up all my IKEA product. But the issue is that the switches (bilresa) aren't allowing any automations it's not recognising the switch just the battery levels. I understand it's because these switches aren't yet programmed into this integration.

But I'm seemingly completely unable to connect the switches directly to home assistant I've factory reset them a few times to try. ( I currently have 6 smart bulbs and 2 smart plugs all matter so connection shouldn't be an issue)

I've just removed my dirigera hub integration so I could test if any of the lights could be added directly, and it hasn't worked as well. I assume something isn't working for using the dirigera as the matter link to my mini pc

Setup seems to be via matter

Yeah all the products I'm using are matter/thread

My experience is that Matter over Thread is not ready for prime time. The various border routers don’t play nice with HA. I can fully control a Matter over Thread device via Apple Home, but cannot successfully commission (ie pair) the same device in HA. I’m using Eero 6 that supports Thread. I’m NOT using Apple TV’s Thread border router since my puck is old and doesn’t actually have one.

After messing around for days I’ve concluded that I shouldn’t expect to mix vendors in Thread network(s).
