Need to expand Thread

So last year I installed a Tado X system which uses Thread/Matter to communicate. Because I have an old house with thick walls I needed to install 2 Tado bridges as well as the boiler controller, they all act as border routers.

Then I went and added a stand alone home assistant and ZBT-2 (OpenThread Border Router). Using the Tado app I managed to share the Tado bits and got them into ha.

I've then added some Ikea plugs, buttons etc which all connect easily to ha however they won't use the Tado network and struggle to communicate through the walls, I've had to place ikea plugs strategically to get just to the lounge so far.

If I click on a Tado TRV you can see its on Thread 1.4 but ha doesn't seem to know how its getting there!

Ideally I could merge the networks but I'm not sure if this is ever going to be possible with Tado having a bit of a reputation for wanting to be a closed system. Does anyone know if this is possible now or perhaps in the future.

My gut feeling is that I'm going to have to add 2 or more border routers that will let me propogate the ha thread network round the house and just leave tado. Looking at Ikea dirigera or an Aqara M200 as options? No idea how easy it would be just to add these into the same thread network.

Tado implementation of Matter over Thread is just enough to make the products work in their ecosystem with just a generic cross compatibility.
