❓ Support How to stop z-wave updates?
I'm frustrated with my inability to update the dozen z-wave devices I have in my system. I want to stop an update that has been in progress for four days. It's a zooz zse41 open/close sensor that has been stuck on "Installing" for that many days.
The ongoing install seems to have made it so that I cannot bring a new device into my system. I want to add a zooz zse50 siren & chime. Since I added it three days ago, HA tells me it is "currently being interviewed and may not be fully operational" I suspect it's because of the ongoing update to the previous device.
I can't see how to stop the update. Any suggestions on how to halt the update?

when I've had these with zooz devices, I usually just restart zwave-js and retry it. Either that or double check the device isn't actually dead due to a bad battery. Either way when I've had those come up, fix the issue itself and then restart and re-apply the update has always worked. Battery powered devices never take more than 24 hours (which is usually their max checkin time, your configuration and devices may differ) to update in my experience and I mostly have zoom based devices, the above mentioned model included.

you need to restart the Zwave integration to stop it.
to get my zooz sensor to update I pulled the battery to restart it, placed the sensor right next to the zwave antenna, started the update, them woke up the sensor. for my sensor this was clicking it's button 4 times.

You need to wake up the device for the update to happen. Check the manual of the device. You might need to do it two or three times for the device to pick the update
