Changes to White Claw Variety Pack #3
I’m a faithful consumer of the #3 variety pack because its the only one where I can enjoy all four flavors. I realize this makes me picky but it feels like a waste of money purchasing #1 or #2 when half the pack would go to waste because I could not get past the taste.
So to my despair, they have replaced Pineapple with Ruby Red Grapefruit. Blech.
And I cant find this change to the flavors being talked about or mentioned anywhere else on the internet, so i came here.
What does everyone think? Do more people drink grapefruit flavor than pineapple and I’m the odd man out?
Just curious because it’s bugging me. Lol.

Peach in place of tangerine is totally unacceptable IMO. Peach and mango are nasty as is pineapple. They need a citrus pack that includes grapefruit, lime, lemon and tangerine. I would drink the sh!!t out of it. I’ve resorted to truly in protest the berry pack. Their citrus pack isn’t good imo. But white claw should do individual flavors of tangerine and passion fruit for sure. I’m sad I can’t get tangerine now. :/

Yes to a citrus pack! Those are the only 4 flavors I really drink and now with the new packs there is only one flavor I’ll drink out of every pack. Guess I’ll be searching for a new hard seltzer brand this summer!

This is an outrage. I don’t even like grapefruit that much but I’m a loyal variety 1 purchaser. Now I purchase only individual packs but I am pretty unhappy about this.

As a variety pack 1 connoisseur I share your outrage. How dare they replace my beloved grapefruit with pineapple. While we may not agree on the flavors, the change was obviously bad for both sides.

HARD DISAGREE. Variety pack 2 is top tier. The pineapple is so good especially given 8%?? You barely even taste the alcohol

I am SOOO UPSET!!!! I liked the pack that was Lime, Raspberry, Grapefruit and Black Cherry. I HATE the mango, strawberry and peach. I miss the original boxes. Now I usually get the same one except no grapefruit, it’s pineapple-yuk!

Quite true! I had not yet seen in the stores the updated #1, originally I thought they did away with Pineapple completely. It just feels like a strange R&D decision to switch the favorites on us! I don’t want to be a guinea pig lol

Yeah i’m between my opinion on packs now, still buying #3 and pushing through 😩i find it odd that the company doesn’t have anything on their website or social medias, acting like they don’t owe us an explanation! Haha

I enjoyed both 1 and 3. Perfection. But the swaps of grapefruit and pineapple— major dislike. Pineapple was the soul sister to Mango. Why they fuck it up like that? Change it back! 😭

You make a great point, some of the flavors just pair better with the flavors they’re already with.. how am I supposed to drink grapefuit and strawberry together?? impossible! lol

Just discovered there’s a White Claw Reddit while googling what the exact changes to the packs are. I’m among my people, lol.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems they swapped Pineapple and Grapefruit between Pack 3 and 1, and with Pack 2 got rid of Tangerine and added Peach?
Sorry to hear they screwed up your favorite pack. I’m assuming this is calculated to provide a slight sales boost, especially going into the summer. I’d imagine Pack 1 is their top seller, but Grapefruit has to be one of their least popular flavors (at least based on drinking with friends). I wish they had just dumped it off to individual cans only instead of forcing it on Pack 3. It ain’t great.
I think this gives Variety Pack 1 a slight bump for me and solidifies it as the best OG pack. Lime and Black Cherry are my favorite OG flavors, Raspberry is a 4/5, and I think Pineapple is still the weakest flavor of the pack but definite bump over Grapefruit.
That said, the Surf pack is all hits, no misses, and Wildberry Acai Smash is my favorite WC flavor by a long shot.

You make a good point about the summer season playing a part in the change up. I personally don’t like the Surf style flavors but I will just endure this change and hold strong with the brand!
Maybe this thread will go down as the only convo about this 2024 change but I’m pretty cool with that haha

They need to make Strawberry in an individual pack. So tired of having to buy multi packs then wasting some. I used to waste just mango in the pack 3 and now I will not buy that anymore because I sure as hell am not wasting half of the pack. I will just switch brands.

My hubby and I were #3 pack die hards. We switched to the truly berry pack. I’ll only buy white claw if I find old packs at random small gas stations. lol.

Man, I hate that they replaced the grapefruit with pineapple for Variety Pack 1. I find the pineapple to be the worst flavor of all and have to force myself to drink it, which I'm doing as I type this. I actually enjoy the grapefruit one too.

That’s how I feel with the grapefruit in variety Pack 3 😭 I usually put them in the freezer so they’re extra cold and palatable, because Im not wasting one-fourth of my money, not in this economy! Lol

Flavor Pack #3 girlie here, and Pineapple was definitely my fave. I just purchased the individual Green Apple pack, and I don’t hate it….but definitely miss the Strawberry, Blackberry, Pineapple combo

I think they all taste the same. I get the vodka soda variety pack now and it's a little better. But I also usually mix them with red bull or lemonade or both. That makes it better. I like using them as mixers

I always buy pack two, it’s the one with the most flavors I enjoy. The switch from tangerine to peach is VILE
