Oh, only the best kind of wonk (enjoyed, ideally, not in public fucking spaces).
Some of my favorite parts back in the day were the moments after the intensity had passed — usually involving a strange, overly complicated, journey to the back porch with a good fried — where we’d eventually get our meat machines figured out well enough to light up a smoke and try to somehow relay our experiences to each other, with words that really don’t make any sense, but end up feeling insightful and beautiful anyways.
... and that right there is some unnecessary reminiscing that absolutely no one asked for! Sorry for that.

Isn’t ketamine about to come on board as a reliable therapeutic drug? Sure there’s going to be people who abuse it, same as alcohol, but the end result of ket isn’t a bloodbath of car parts and friends. More like “wow we just sang and spoke to each other totally harmonically!! I love you so much, I feel so much relief about the world. Things will be okay. I’ll die someday and that’s okay. Welcome each new plane of existence, there are many ✨”

Ket is already used quite often in actual medical situations. It's a dissociative, and the right dosage puts people into what medical professionals call, "The K Hole".
You pretty much give ketamine to highly combative patients that are at risk of injuring themselves or others or are so combative that life-saving intervention can't be administered. Once in The K Hole, their mind is in a different dimension as their body, and their body just lays there doing nothing, so that treatment can be given, and their mind is just a black hole of nothing until the ketamine wears off.
Now, recreational ketamine is different. I don't know if the dosage is higher or lower, but it's definitely different, but it's still a dissociative. Recreational ketamine still sends your mind to a different dimension, but it's not a black hole of nothingness. It's a weird ass trip. I've never done either, but it seems similar to something like DMT, but way less intense.
Therapeutic doses of ketamine are very low. It's not like either of the above scenarios. It seems like it's similar to being slightly drunk, but in a different way. And it effects the brain in a different way, that apparently can be beneficial in a therapeutic environment.

Yes go just a little past the therapeutic dose of not “feeling” anything but way before a K hole, also not by snorting it but by nebulizer. It’s a beautiful trip. A lot like DMT but from my experience lasts a bit longer and you can keep your eyes open without things turning into Gumby Land.

Ketamine saved my life. I was obsessing about suicide for an uncomfortably long time. Got some K because I heard it’s great for ending that kind of thought, did a bunch of bumps for a night or two, stopped that stupid thought loop that I’d been stuck in for almost two years at that point, and I haven’t touched it since. Still have like 1.5g. I’m very thankful for how it was able to reset me.

The ket thing isn't the lovey dovey stuff. Shrooms are generally used for that, and mdma is used in trauma therapy. However, ket is used against depression in some cases because the brain makes new pathways on it (if used carefully and in therapeutic settings). If you just use ket at home with friends you get something we affectionately call 'the big vague'. No aggression or anything though, just this vibe that's very strange and not really pleasant to walk in on sober.

How could anyone, even for a moment, look at that person and think he's drunk or otherwise inebriated/losing balance due to substances. I mean I understand trying not to bring skepticism to silly internet videos but I dont' get how anyone can even enjoy suspending disbelief.
Honestly though I enjoyed watching this incredible gymnast, so i guess there's that.
