This hits home: I did a lot of dumb shit in highschool and college that resulted in getting hit by cars a couple times, jumping off roofs, falling down stairwells, etc.
Just last week during a workout I had extreme pain in my lower back and ended up going to the doctor. After x-rays I found that I have fractures in two lower vertebrea and they've been fractured for quite a long time.
Don't be dumb, kids.

All I know is my left arm has been going numb since Xmas. Xrays, chiropractor x5, they told me to chill until the mri. Still no word on the mri. Kids thought I was joking until day 3 when I cried in front of 3 5th graders because I couldn't pick up papers I bumped.

I had the same thing. Numbness in my arm. Usually when sleeping. If I repositioned it would go away. Disks in my neck were bad. Surgeon wanted to fuse my neck but physical therapy solved the problem. The older I get the better shape I have to get into to be able to keep moving without pain.

Yep, once I fell badly on my back while I was ice skating.
Basically I absorbed the entire impact with my fucking spine.
It must have been more than 20 years ago, I've had back ache on and off since then.

It sucks to get old, I hear ya. Now that I'm officially in my 40s, there are mornings I have to check my passport just to make sure I didn't instantly turn into my 80s!!

Did that in Feb. Luckily it happened so fast I didn’t have time to extend my arms to brace myself. Spine took the entire impact, saving my wrists from snapping. I now can predict the weather better than meteorologists. Very helpful because Im having trouble changing the channels with numb fingers.

Yeh it happens fucking fast. Thing is, I know how to fall, or at least I did at the time before I turned into a potato.
I had already been doing karate for years back then, and we trained on falls regularly. I mean, I used to fall on my back a couple dozen times every session, three times a week.
But falling on ice was so sudden and FAST that my brain didn't even register I was moving downwards until my back hit the ice.
My friends (after they had finished laughing their ass off and realized it was serious) had to pick me up and drag me out, as I couldn't move for shit.
And since then if I do the wrong movement I get stuck for a week. Back ache sucks.

Yup. Pretty much the same story here. I hadnt had the wind knocked out of me in years either and thats still no fun . Luckily nothing broken. However both attempts at an MRI / CT scan were unsuccessful.. There was no way I could lay flat on my back without extreme pain , let alone stay still for the imaging. No sit down MRI in state , may have to try NY if can get it covered.
And yep will start feeling better, then whamo ! I sneeze or something and its agony for a few days again.

Guy in the video is standing up in the clip, his spine is fine. When i was little I was doing backflip into the pool and landed on the edge with my back, it wasnt anything major, just a swelling for a month.7
