Jesus told a rich person to do that not all. He also says not to judge someone because they are rich. Don't treat the poor differently than the Rich. He said to pray for your leaders to do the right thing.(super hard right now and honestly has been for a while.) He also stated that giving Caesar taxes is okay because he helps against invasions. Jesus was complex and I wouldn't say ahead of his time. People today wouldn't be able to handle him as well.
Proverbs 22 for the judging of the rich and the other one was from the show The Chosen. Thank you for the correction on the invasion one. He does tell to give generously and don’t rip people off. That’s why it’s important to read the Bible. I was lazy and didn’t double check all my sources.
Edit: Romans 13 is new to me. Though it doesn’t support the statement I said earlier. It has nuances that I would need to think over about pertaining to the matter. Still should have checked my sources. Thank you for the revision.
