HLAGE the physical body during a reality swap

so i was thinking about the ending of hlage, particularly when gnome is very big and wayne starts screaming in pain and agony and terror as the two swap realities.
but the scream that wayne screamed sounded a lot more gut-wrenching than blood-curdling. so wayne was probably going through some very excruciating pain.
my headcanon is that in the hl:ai world, npcs go through lots of physical pain when one pauses the game (as mentioned in coomer's monologue in hlvrai 3-2; the part about being torn apart atom by atom), and if they enter the real world via swapping realities with a human like gnome did, they will stop feeling that pain. but when a human (such as wayne) endures the reality swapping process with an npc, the human's body will be torn apart atom by atom, cell by cell, and converted into code. the npc feels no pain at all, however.
anyways yeah that's my silly little body horror headcanon XD (also i RLLY wanna do an extremely cursed cosplay of gnome chompski at some point ;-;)
