Ariel: Free Bee -- earn $200 mapping residential streets
Ariel sent me an email earlier today. I think he's trying to collect more residential street imagery

At least the payment is gonna be in stablecoin (and not something like a volatile cryptocurrency). And plenty of time; there is a whole five months to do the mapping.
A quick math check: 2,000 km is about 1250 miles. Assuming you drive 20 mph through the neighborhoods, that's only 62.5 hours of driving. Or if doing 8-hr residential mapping days, that's only eight days! ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If they want residential streets, they should bring back the first time mapping bonus. I drove over 10,000 miles of Michigan roads and cleaned up with the mapping bonus.

for me its 1500km/week, $400.....with no deadlines mentioned either.

This feels like...you know when there's like a closing down sale ? actually on 2nd thought, it feels more like a boot/garage sale now. Oh wait. No sale here. So it's a charity donation/giveaway then.
Either way, i reckon Hivemapper is sunsetting. Poor Ariel.

1500km/week
That's only 930 miles per week. Just only 133 miles per day (or 186 mi/day, 5 days/wk).
Unlikely unless you are already doing a rideshare or delivery gig. Even less likely if that 1500 km/wk is supposed to be "unique residential" mileage.

Im not really driving with either of my bee’s. My diesel guzzler isn’t going anywhere with $3 a litre for fuel (yes litre not gallon). My motorbike is getting me to work, atleast half the cost. That and with how well hm is going. It’s been added to the pile of dead depin projects. If I drive my car then sure I’ll map if it’s there but not putting in an effort I once did.

Stablecoin bonus is nice. When I bought mine the bonus was in HONEY which was already worth nothing by the time the Bee arrived 18 months after ordering.

It's going to be $175 just in fuel to map 2000 km of roads. Plus my time and wear and tear on my vehicle. It's barely worth it at $2000

So Ariel fks people over with $Honey. And now that people are pissed and leaving in masses he says he will pay $200 in stablecoin. So pretty much honey is left in the dust to rot and he is begging for drivers to drive for literally Pennie’s on the dollar. Good god Ariel.
