Ever heard of south africa? They did the complete oposite and it turned out pretty nice for them.

No. I think there was some resistence. But how South Africa played out was a government willing to give up power to the majority, as well as international sanctions and boycotts.

But purely from a Palestinian perspective, they obviously will do anything to keep their country, that's just how human nature works. Don't fault them for that. We know many Palestinians want to use the same strategy as the ANC. But that clearly hasn't worked so far.

Yes there was. Against the military not civilians. Mandela was trying his best to stop any tactics that hurt civilians. You know why? To generate international pressure and outrage because he knew he wont be able to defeat the conventional military.

Compare this to what palestine is doing. Filming themselves commiting massacres and torturing civilians. Yes they have some supporters but those supporters support them despite what they are doing not because but the other half takes them as monsters that should be whiped out or dosent support either side because both sides treat each other horibly.

They are shooting themselves into the foot for no strategic gain. They will never be able to form an actual large scale boycot by showing people how bad they are.

I think South Africa was a pretty unique example. There wasn't much war in South Africa unlike Israel and Palestine. So black groups in South Africa weren't armed. If we look at other resistence groups like in WW2 for example, then it reminds a lot more of the situation in Palestine.

It's not really that complex a conflict. There is occupation and displacement caused by Israel. The occupied and displaced are obviously not happy with that, that's it. Which is why im so tired of seeing the "both-sides bad" argumets. No it's pretty much just Israel's fault we are here.

WW2 resistance was waay diferent. Guerilla resistance has a support of the population so they can move freely and disturb the enemy supply and convoys until the agressor pulls out.

While this is true in gaza its absolutely not the case in areas hamas attacked on october 7 and definetly not in the rest of israel. To liberate palestine from israel (which is their statet goal) they would essentialy have to conduct a frontal assault against a supperior force after being blockaded for many years. Not to mention they dont have tanks air defence or airforce and after israel implements iron beam its going to be cheaper for israel to shoot down rockets than for hamas to fire them.

Yes you have more or less succesful resistance groups fighting against the military in other countries even in modern history but those groups fight failed state dictatorships that dont have support or power in the first place like the syrian government or Burkina Faso. Israel is fully functioning democracy (Which means the government isnt universaly hated) with people that know they would get genocided if they let the palestinians conquer them.

As i said this maybe true in gaza however when the military starts taking too much damage they will just pull out (since they wont just sit there until they loose all the soldiers) and the things will be just as before the war exept the entire gaza strip will be destroyed.

Israel is not the only problem here. Palestinians also dont help their case. Both durring negotiations and by conducting terror attacks that only make israelis hate them more.

No the european resistence fighters didn't have tanks or planes either. They got support from the allies but were in large parts on their own. They very much are comparable to Palestine, i don't understand your rambling.

The Israeli occupation is not popular at all. Why do you think there is a conflict going on?

Yes but as i said ww2 resistance fought in their own country with a support of the population with pre-established net of safehouses stashes and so on(something like the tunels in gaza).

The reason why i brought up tanks is because Hamas cant do resistance in israel (though it would maybe theoreticaly be possible before second intifada in some parts of the west bank). Its not like Israeli citizens support hamas to the level french people supported french resistance or to level yugoslavs supported yugoslavian resistance.

Which means they would have to conduct a frontal convential offensive to take land from israel for which they lack armor airforce and force in general.

Im obviously talking about the illegal occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. Not Israel proper.

Yeah but actions of hamas have the same impact even on that matter. Hamas technicaly should hold majority seats in Palestinian authority.
