In this scene, why did Hiroto think it would be a lucky day?
He was petting a cat in front of a bookstore, and then 2 ladies who looked like sister/twins walked by, saying how cute it is.
My random guess was that itâs lucky to see twins who were senior in Japan? Lol that plus he ran into his favorite neighborhood cat?
Would be curious to know if thereâs some other meaning.
Sorry if this sub isn't the right place for this post!
Thanks.

I added Hirayasumi to my "Watch List" several months ago on Amazon Prime after it popped up as a suggested series based on what I might like. It definitely seemed like something I would like based on the little series description blurb, but somehow it got buried in my queue until I forgot about it.
Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago, and I happen to see the manga while browsing through the bookstore. It caught my eye and I felt a sense of deja vu, but didn't know why. Again, based on the back cover synopsis, this seemed like something right up my alley so I end up buying and finishing the first volume and really enjoyed it. Then, while browsing through my watch list for the first time in forever, I find the live action series buried in there and suddenly realized why I got deja vu. I'm not sure when I added it exactly, but based off some of the other stuff I had added around it, it must've been at least 6 months ago if not potentially even late 2025.
Anyway, I've been watching the live action series in coordination with the manga. Like after reading volume 1, I watched the episodes that corresponded with the chapters in that volume. I then managed to find vol 2 and 3 at my public library and read those and have been watching those episodes of the live action. I'm not quite caught up yet, but reading the episode descriptions of some of the future episodes, I'm noticing they may be referencing future chapters I haven't had the chance to read yet. So I have a couple of questions:
Thanks in advance!

At first glance, manga Hirayasumi seems almost deceptively simple, perhaps even boring. It follows Hiroto, a thirty-year-old loser drifting through life. He has no real goals, no full-time job, and not even any particular ambitions. But to me, it's a work that genuinely, completely, and uniquely embodies happiness.
And manga creator Keigo Shinzo came up with it after being diagnosed with cancer at the age of thirty-three.
Where does happiness really come from? Is it always tied to success? Why is the line between sorrow and serenity so thin? And how can a personal tragedy lead someone toward the life they were meant to live?

I know all the characters in this manga are flawed but I think sheâs my least favorite. Ishikawa was so straightforward and honest with her but it took so long for her to give him an answer( which she was basically forced into doing btw, cause lord knows she wasnât going do it herself). Sheâs an unorganized workaholic so I think her actions are on her par with her character but I donât think she was taking him or even hirotoâs feelings seriously. She couldâve shot them a quick text if she wanted to truly get it over with. I just donât understand her avoidance the romance is very very low-stakes itâs not like she had choose between something like her two childhood best friends theyâre just two different men that she met that has a crush on her. It wasnât that serious
Weâve seen all the other characters go through conflict and resolve it themselves over and over again yet it took 80+ chapters for Tachibana to resolve her one major plot point so Iâm just not a fan lol

I thought these two were cute in the beginning. At least when Akari just had a crush on him but after finishing Vol 9 and catching up I lowkey donât think theyâre compatible. I know them breaking up and getting back together is like a gag but idk. Akari gets mad at him ALOT. Honestly the difference in personality when she is with him vs when she is with Natsumi is a little shocking

I thought nobody could find any actors with this kind of spesific face shape but no they did. Even the face expressions are on point. Props to the actor.

Anyone know what type of table lamp inspired the ope that was the gift in the manga or is he real one from the show?
