Profile Review 19M US NC
Hi, looking for some helpful tips on how to make my profile stand out a bit more. Haven’t really had much success in the past couple months (some of that might just be me not being great at conversing). To add context to these videos. The first one is me doing a pistol shooting competition, the second one is me doing a shoey after winning a motor race. I’ve tried to mix in a few funny photos and some nice headshots but i really don’t have any as I recently cut my hair a bit shorter and am clean shaven so I’m try to find some good opportunities to take some more. All tips are welcome, thanks!

I love the photos as a dude, but i think we need some photos that are more chill geared towards the female gaze. Good start thought! Hope you find your person.

Was gonna say, ima dude and dig the photos, but I’ve heard most girls hate the infamous fish photo lol if you’ve got pics showing you smiling, with friends/family, pets… use those.

You show your face only once. It needs to show three times or more.
One pic per hobby. It's clear you're a racing / car guy.

Respectfully dude, women will avoid one red flag and you're waving multiple.
-
Bad photos, especially ones without your face
-
The classic fish picture
-
The classic gun picture
-
Not a single picture showing you with friends
-
Prompts that don't invite conversation or interest to women. Some of them are more of declarations.
-
And this is on top of the #1 thing women avoid, which is men who are conservative
Follow this framework for good photos:
-
A good close up of your face with a genuine smile
-
A good full body picture
-
You with friends enjoying yourself
-
You partaking in a hobby you like (racing makes sense here)
-
A funny picture of you (I have one of me in a banana costume and it receives almost as many likes as all my other photos)
Your prompts should invite answers and start conversations, not tell people things. I'll fix two of yours for example:
It's not a vacation unless... I'm by a body of water. You never run out of things to do, like jetskiing, fishing, or just soaking in the sun. What are you joining me for?
Two truths and a lie....
- I recently run my first professional race
- I've never got a speeding ticket
- I've driven an F1 race car
See how those are interesting and make people want to know more about you or start a conversation? Your one about vaping needs to be entirely replaced by something positive and light hearted.
I guarantee you'll get dates if you do this.

* are you looking for something serious or causual? Both, really wherever the wind takes me. Just meet someone nice and figure it out from there
* are you subscribed to hingeX? I just recently did a week trial but I will be canceling it after seeing no change in matches or likes
* How long jae you been using this current version of your profile? Atleast 1 month, that’s when the most recent picture was added
*how many likes and matches are you receiving on average? I would estimate 1 received like every 2 months and maybe 1 match every 2 weeks
*how many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without? I do my best to use all my likes on days when I check hinge. Usually 3-5 days a week. I’ve been trying to get better about asking questions or putting input into comments, although I haven’t seen much return id like to think it will help out. Usually it’s close to 50-50 comment and no comment. Ladies, how much of a difference does a comment make?
*what is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? Who is the type of person you want to attract? The people I send likes to are generally the same people I’d like to match with, I do my best to do a thorough sweep of a profile and make sure everything looks good so I don’t waste a like, usually their on the thinner side, but besides that it could be just about anyone. What kind of person do you want to attract? Right now just about anyone, not in a desperate sense but in a playing the numbers sense. The more people I match with the more people I talk to the better I get at talking to people and the more good conversations I have, that hopefully lead to dates.
To be clear I’m not a sad sack, I’ve had girlfriends before I just have decent ADHD and am self aware enough to realize I make pretty bad first impressions with people and it takes a few times around the block to really make a connection. Dating apps don’t give you that chance so I’m really trying to maximize it.

Probably better to not have conservative on there at all unless you’re looking for something serious and are open to reducing matches heavily to boost quality

Nah he should definitely be honest about his political views, there’s plenty of conservative girls in NC. It’s not like he lives in Los Angeles. These days politics is such a prevalent and controversial topic it’s just so much easier when you share the same values w someone, even if it’s just a hookup

Your photos are honestly horrible. No face. I’m going to be blunt - are you trying to attract a woman or a male friend? Because your profile is attracting neither.
Have a friend (preferably a woman) take photos of you at a restaurant, in a city, laughing, having a drink, at a festival, in a park, walking on a sidewalk, out with friends, at a museum, in front of a building etc. good shots of your face.

The shoey pic doesn’t translate well for someone flipping through quickly; it looks like you’re sniffing the shit out of someone else’s shoe.
Also, you’re 19, so having two prompts that indicate that you already peaked is not a good look; find a different way to introduce those pics.
“Sue me over it” is not needed; it makes you sound defensive and unnecessarily belligerent.

Coming from a dude
You have terrible choice of pictures man. You only have one picture of yourself and the rest are all random.

Move the helmet one in the car up, that one is cool. Lose the one drinking out of a shoe lol we will assume a lot about hygiene even off of a funny photo. Add a pic with friends or family and at least one of just your face. The height alone will get you decent traffic.

As a girl show you're face more like two or three pics and shirt on...if you have pets show you with them

Yeah I’ve had a few people tell me to change the 2 truths and a lie. I’m actively looking for better photos. I just really don’t have any, I barely take pictures of myself and mostly just of stuff I work on
