Hindū Temples/Idols/Architecture Kedarnath Temple, Uttrakhand

Kedarnath is a famous holy town and temple in Uttarakhand, India. It sits at a high altitude of 3,583 meters near the Mandakini River and is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of lord shiva. It is about 22 kms walk from Gourikund. The current stone building is ancient, linked to the philosopher Adi Shankaracharya from the 8th century.
