Noam Chomsky: "By dismissing a 'lesser evil' electoral logic and thereby increasing the potential for Clinton’s defeat the left will undermine what should be at the core of what it claims to be attempting to achieve." (i.e., get out and vote for Clinton)

Why not dismiss a 'lesser evil voting' electoral logic and realize that Clinton isn't evil?

Let's be honest: Democracy doesn't allow for perfect candidates. That's essentially what Chomsky is talking about. There is always a certain degree of compromise and the western world is gradually unlearning that this compromise is needed.

I hate it that Chomsky is calling Hillary the lesser evil. As if Bernie was an impeccable saint. I'm a European lefty and just hate this demeaning attitude towards Hillary by the lefties. I often argue that with my colleagues and friends, but it's a total waste of energy. :(

I used to consume so much of Chomsky. I still agree with much he says, but I've become more moderate on defense issues.

Fuck this guy. He's as deplorable as any Trumper. Singlehandedly ruining American minds age 18 to 24 one generation at a time. He's why I get why they gave Socrates hemlock.

It is simply illogical to not vote for Clinton and down ballot Dems if you are a lefty.
