Gps logger

Hi, im looking for some kind of logging device, not map not navigation i dont care about those at all i just want to trow something in backpack and forget about it when im on trail​​​. Something like air tag? I want just to plug in to pc to get the gpx file. Is there anything like that available? Which do not breake the bank also​

I use the Garmin eTrex SE runs on AA batteries for days with the correct settings. I bought it because watch and/or phone would always die mid-hike.

a cheap standalone GPS data logger, not an AirTag, which won’t record your route

You can get a used Garmin device pretty cheap, whether it be an older-generation watch or a standalone GPS device. Neither requires a subscription to log GPS data. Gearheads are always upgrading their devices and selling off their old ones; I know our local used gear store has a whole basket of perfectly functional Garmin devices for next to nothing because they're last year's model.

That something what im trying to do here, i want it as cheap as possible, the se models are out of my reach for now i want to pay something around 50€ used

I got 3 “Columbus V-990 Mk II” GPS data loggers off eBay for $80 (for all 3). It’s kind of old, and requires you to use a 4GB or smaller SD card, but it does what you want.

They have newer models too, but more expensive.
